Jackson-Bryant, part deux [San Francisco Chronicle]
"I'm going to be me, but I guarantee I won't feed into the nonsense," Jackson said Monday. "If it came down to a real fight, I know what would happen. I'm just going to leave that alone, go out and play basketball and try to help my team win."
I vote we start a new column called Stack Jack's Quacks. Who is this guy?

I am sick and tired of wondering about Cap'n Whack's mood
But I do want to talk about this part of the article…
… Ronny Turiaf will get his first start of the preseason, playing in a lineup with Andris Biedrins, Anthony Randolph, Jackson and Monta Ellis. “Man, this is what I’ve been dreaming of,” Jackson said. “That lineup can play with any lineup in the NBA. I feel real confident in that lineup, and having our young guys come off the bench and add energy will be a good look for us. It looked great to see (Biedrins) and (Turiaf) play defense together and clean up every rebound. That makes it easier on us, because, once they get the rebound, we can run and we want to be a fast-paced team.”
Potentially exciting lineup there. At least we won’t get outrebounded. Not sure what Jack is getting at by saying this is what he’s been waiting for, considering all the other mess he’s been spouting. He’s probably just come to the realization, belatedly, that being a distraction isn’t good for his playing career or his pocketbook. Anyway, I’ll take Cap’n Cheerleader any day over his more recent incarnations.
Interesting aside, this is probably our reserve lineup tonight:
Curry
Morrow
Buike
Pruitt
Moore
Maggs is off tonight, but that lineup can be successful against the Lakers backups, assuming somebody can contain Lamar Odom.
Looking forward to a newlook Warrior lineup, in any event.

I vote we start ignoring this guy
I’m tired of reading the noise he makes. There isn’t anything substantial in what he says anymore.

Jackson's a fool
He is alienating the one fan base in the NBA that actually USED TO support him. Now who does he have? NO WAY he’ll get the kind of love he got with the Warriors organization and their fans. The way I see it, Jax pretty much just doomed the rest of his career…

This is why I cant boo Jack, what a bad ass.
He lost his cool the first time, but like he said “If it came down to a real fight, I know what would happen. I’m just going to leave that alone, go out and play basketball and try to help my team win.”
Everyone, including Kobe and Ron Ron, knows Jack would whoop Kobe’s punk ass. It’s bad ass that Jack put it in the paper the way he did. Later in the article he also alludes to getting unfair calls from the refs, which is also cool. I’m not a fan of Kobe’s either Jack.
Hopefully his actions follow his words. I’m guessing they will.
That lineup is gonna be awesome tonight. That totally matches the size of the Lakers lineup. I’d give us the edge in athleticism and speed.
Is this game televised?

haha
My thoughts exactly. Gotta love the guy, he really embodies what I thought of our We Believe Warriors. Just a bunch of ‘bad-asses’ who will stand up to anybody. I think that’s why Jack is so angry, he feels like the team has lost that intensity. If anything ever happened with that team, they would have each others backs and get in the other teams face.
I just think he has done a poor job articulating whats really wrong, something lack of education will do. It’s definitely a love/hate relationship with Jack and the Warriors/Fans.
The game should be streamed.

Barnes was really the perfect 4 for us....
He could shoot the three, was faster than almost all other 4s, but made up for strength in pure toughness and swagger.

Yea, i have to agree, he was one of our perfect 4s, especially in this style of play, he had that “toughness” to match up with anybody in the league, but i was slightly worried when we’d go up against someone who is a legit PF, but most of the time he fit perfectly in the style of play, what they needed however was a good backup PF.

AGREED
The we believe squad made small ball work because they played with enough swagger and fire to overcome their size difference. Remember how intense our defense was? We weren’t great man to man, but everyone was causing deflections and igniting the fastbreak. Also, no one hesitated to give a ard foul. Jack, Baron and Barnes played with so much toughness that we basically punked the guards of other teams while standing up to their bigs. Once we lost J-Rich we lost a lot of heart and never really recovered it. I love that Morrow, Randolph and of course Turiaf seem to be bringing it back.

And that is why Gerald Wallace would be perfect
He brings as much toughness and swag as any one.

In any other profession...
Jax would be fired for all that he has said recently…IMO players have way too much power in the NBA to do or say whatever they want. Time for Jackson to grow up and act like an adult.

I like the starting line-up.. and his response kinda shows who the main people he likes on the team, who dont usually get to play together that much at all

wait
What lineup are the Lakers coming out with?
If they have Ron Artest starting at the 3, I don’t wanna see Anthony Randolph matched up against him. If they have Odom coming off the bench then we need AR coming off the bench too to match up.
