It’s a different shooting system. In college most of his shots were in transition.

Also, I don’t think its about the defense…In college he was usually double or triple teamed.

But it’s something I’m not worried about. He is a natural shooter and can shoot lightz 0ut when he finally finds it. That is something I can be patient on concerning his skillset.

I’m assuming he will be inconsistent with his shot, with him having some hot shooting nights but also running more into a lot of cold shooting nights while putting too much pressure on himself to shoot better. I’m setting the standard low on him and hope he does way better than I expect.

I seen glimpses of what he did in college where I thought he was a good player and could be a good NBA player, but I wasn’t a big fan of us drafting him at all.

From what I have seen from some summer league play and preseason games, I have been impressed so far with the other aspects of his game he is trying to showcase that should help this squad. Let’s see if it consistently progresses throughout this season.

I like how he is proving he can be a good facilitator (that the Dubs desperately need) , his willingness to play defense, and his desire to emphasize on defense.

His Basketball IQ seems to excel past standards and seems very hungry to succeed as a rookie. All that we could ask for and as I said, his hot shooting will come along one of these days in the NBA.
