Anthony Morrow on KNBR, Fitz and Brooks, mp3
(9:15 min) Anthony Morrow with Fitz and Brooks. I personally prefer Ralph and Tom's questions more than Fitz and Brooks, but there are some good questions here.

IQ what did u think of AMO bring'n up Jack...
Did you have any feelings on when AMO brought up JAck? I thiought it was kinda funny how AMO brought him up twice how he was leading by example on D and Fitz & brooks just stood quite & didn’t even broach the Jack issue. I quess I was waiting for at least a follow up by brooks about Jack (since fitz is too much of a homer to do soo) nothing crazy jst a follow up to how he is dealing wit the sitaution. Instead they go into 3 pt shooting contest…Fitz just annoys me now and it sucks cuz I used to like him but he has bought into the corrupt culture so much that, at least for me, he is unbearable.
I mean I understand that it is a lollipop interview but I mean there are ways to softball a question to at least ask it. Instead of being wuss’s and not even trying to bring up the issue.

Lollipop interview, hah!
Great phrase. But that’s why I didn’t post the Curry interview yesterday, because while it was silly and fun, there wasn’t anything really interesting to take out of it.
But as far as Morrow mentioning Jack, yeah it did cross my mind that they would ask about Jack’s distractions next, but I can understand why Fitz didn’t do it. Partly, the issue is starting to quiet down as Jack starts playing, and he has promised to shut up, so no reason to stir it up now. And partly it’s because Fitz does travel with these guys, so I understand that he doesn’t want to trap any of the players in an interview, since he’ll have to face them on the bus and plane later. Not to mention he’s probably developed more of a bond with these players than say, Ralph or Tom, just because he’s with them so much. To a degree, he’s sort of one of them, so he has to support them.
So because of this, I understand that Fitz will usually focus on ways to pump up a guy during his interviews, or just have fun, instead of cracking down on them with harder issues. But that’s why I also don’t try to take too much out of his interviews. Jim Barnett sort of does the same thing, but he’s not as overly and annoyingly optimistic and enthusiastic as Fitz is.
