Kobe Bryant's nickname to Stephen Jackon... "YOUNG FELLA" - and all hell broke lose!

I wish I thought of this sooner, but better late than never! On the real, I'm a big Stephen Jackson fan and I'm not ashamed to say it. The guy has ALWAYS been super nice to my wife and I off the court and has always given me his approval of my work. On the court, since his arrival and the following season after that, he always brought a sense of excitement that made me want to cheer for the guy. Sure last season was shaky, but I had always been a fan.

It's a shame with all this trade talk. I just want to see him play, but things change. I don't hate the dude but this parody explains it all: Let's get it: Trade Motivation 101. (Trade him, and lets move on)

Any chance you can do a pick of “Liutenant Wright” in a hospital bed, with Forrest Gump offering him ice cream? You have to admit, that’s better than “Broken Wing.”

This is hard.

Jackson is my favorite player on the dubs because as was written previously on GSOM, he’s that wild-eyed loose cannon who would always get your back no questions asked. But now the loose cannon is turning on his own team.

Again, all the blame goes back to the top brass, i.e. Rowell/Cohan the two a— hats, for causing this mess by not building a stronger nucleus around Jackson in the first place.

yeah

At least the Warriors really do suck. It would really be infuriating if Jackson said those comments about Golden State if they were really a good team, but since we do suck I aint mad at Jackson for complaining. We’ve gone downhill since the 07 Playoffs, with no apparent plan in mind. It’s not like the team had a plan to start missing the Playoffs again in order to get a future superstar with a 14th pick in the lottery. I mean, is it a coincidence that a team that hasn’t made the Playoffs in 14 of the last 15 seasons has players complaining?

A Jackson/Kobe rivalry would have actually been entertaining if Jackson’s team was good. Because it sucks when a player on an elite team is having a rivalry with a player in a basement team; all the good rivalries happen in the postseason. If only this happened when we still had the We Believe team together; Jackson isn’t an all-star but he has the ability to hit clutch shots, which is perfect for rivalries heading into crunch time. Remember when Kobe and Jackson were hitting back to back to back 3s against each other to end a game back in 07-08? Warriors won that time, it was crazy!

But anyways, I’m still happy for now. Even though the team has made stupid decisions, we still were extremely lucky enough to acquire guys like Randolph, Morrow and Curry. So at least we have a pretty good future to look forward to; lets just not screw up again or else there will be another rebuilding process in the near future.

I'd have smacked Kobe too had he called me young fella.

I too am a fan of Jack’s but he’s handled it the wrong way. I don’t blame him totally for this mess. Cohan has not done what is necessary to keep quality players on this squad nor brought in that roughkneck big man we so covet. I wouldn’t have broke the bank for baron either, but a Carlos Boozer or Jason Maxiell-type player is what we are missing. If we’d have had that type of player I think things would be a bit different.

Hendrix

Would have been Boozer 2.0

Would come in handy now with Wright out.

Haha, Boom went pretty roughneck on Rudolf last game.
Probably a positive experience as the kid will now think before he leaps? It was only a matter of time till he ran into something tougher than him anyway and Boom is not the biggest truck in the league.

Do I get credit for turning it into a nickname? Kobe just meant it as a spur of the moment insult… of course, someone else may have used as a nickname before my poll. Still. Props anyone?
