You No Longer Have Any Reason to Watch NBA TV [SBNation.com]
It's all bad. I'm going to miss GP and CWebb doing whatever it is they do. They were really entertaining together on NBATV's Tuesday coverage.

meh
I didn’t find them entertaining, but that’s just my opinion. Payton is annoying, and Chris Webber isn’t the best host. I don’t watch NBA TV for anything except games and highlights.

I never saw the Webber/Payton show but having listened to many Payton press conferences when I lived in Seattle, I just can’t imagine him doing a good job. That being said, I love Payton: the NBA stinks without he and Timmy Hardaway and their nonstop on-court jabbering

I never could understand what Payton was saying. No loss IMO

Nothing against the two
But it looked like they were having a lot more fun than I was having. It was like “Payton and CWebb hang out, talk to NBA players, and laugh through highlights while a host stuggles to keep any semblance of order”. When I seen NBATV, I’m more of a fan of the “hard analysis” guys. Andre Aldridge always keeps things moving (an is my favourite stuido host of all time), Rick Kamla is a jerk but says some valuable things, Eric Snow is alright, I’m a big fan of Fred Carter….but the hanging out and joking around should be reserved for TNT, not for the daily recap show where I just wanna see my highlights. I have no problem with them doing the in-studio for the game, but when they record the recap show for everyone to see throughout the night, I want some serious dudes.

Re: Rick Kamla is a jerk
Why do you think so? I admit, my first reaction to him was, "damn, tone it down ‘young fella’ ", because he acted like he was equal with the guys he was talking with and about as if he’d been around a long as Marv Albert.
Then I thought that I may be just getting annoyed based on my own irrational belief that you have to earn respect through time, not just roll up out of college and act like one of the big boys. But that’s my own prejudice. So I’m curious as to what you, or anyone else really, thinks makes him jerk-like.
I give pressure the reach-around.

Meh
Never had NBA TV until this year. So…
Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.
I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.
RANDOLPH: "I know. But sometimes, you gotta let ‘em know."
