New Uni's next year looking good
"• The Warriors have a great uni history that presents all sorts of intriguing throwback possibilities, but here's one you probably didn't see coming. Simple but cool, and dig the little arrow on the shorts logo patch! On-court debut: Dec. 3. (Looking ahead, a small item buried within this interview with team president Robert Rowell and GM Larry Riley indicates that the team will get a design makeover next season. Uni Watch has seen the preliminary mock-ups and can say with a fair degree of certainty that you will not be disappointed.)"
Little tidbit on throwbacks this year and our new uni's next year.
(If you're not familiar with Lucas' Uni Watch, I suggest following the link. The actual article has links to pictures and such.)

Really?
I always thought our current uniforms and colors were kinda weak. I would really love to go back to blue and yellow, preferably with the bay bridge or Cali logo. Can’t wait to see what we get!

I hate that throwback they showed
Just go back to the Cali logo please.

Hmm
I think “you won’t be disappointment” is something that would be said even if our new jerseys looked garbage. Lets hope that guy really means what he says and that he’s not just saying it because the jerseys are new!

well...
I’ve stumbled across this guy’s commentary on uniforms before. He is often critical of teams’ uniform designs (note how positively he speaks of Charlotte’s “NASCAR” look.) I disagree with his taste at times (Houston’s red and yellow uniforms this year are not something I want to look at; he seems to like them) but it’s not like he just heaps praise on everything that an NBA team puts out there.
The Warriors are pretty good at marketing. Perhaps because the region they market to has a reputation for art and design skill – either they feel they can’t afford to do a poor job or they take advantage of the relatively plentiful supply. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Warriors new uniforms were indeed quite nice.

I take it you don’t read his stuff often? He’s obsessed with jersey’s beyond any other person’s obsession in the world. Dude’s a nut when it comes to that stuff – his word carries a lot of weight, and as todd pointed out, he’s very willing to be critical of something he doesn’t like. He’s a big fan of the Warriors jerseys of the past, but hates the ones we’ve had over the last 10+ years or so, which is generally how I think most Warriors fans feel. So if he says we won’t be disappointed, it’s definitely a good sign. I hope we get back to blue and gold basics like some of our best retro jerseys.

San Francisco
It pisses me off when TNT and ESPN show the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman’s Wharf during Warrior broadcasts. How about Lake Merritt or the Tribune Building, damn!
Our unis are whack. We need to bring back the black City’s. Those were NASTAY.
Sittin in my scraper watchin Oakland goin wild, ta-dow!

Did we ever actaully play in black City’s? I only recall blue ones and gold ones. Also, Oakland sucks, and since the Warriors are the Bay Area’s team…I can understand why they show SF….
