Nellie playing tall ball?

I’ll believe it when I see it…

its

not tall ball when you’re playing 2 6’3 guys in your backcourt. Nellie is compensating.

by saintdee on Oct 27, 2009 2:58 PM PDT up reply actions

I like this kind of compensating. We will be bigger in the frontcourt and faster in the backcourt than the Rockets.

Battier and Ariza aren’t really guards anyway, and neither has a particularly devasating post game.

Sittin in my scraper watchin Oakland goin wild, ta-dow!

Ariza apparently hasnt been able to finish at the rim that great this preseason and all we gotta do is close in on both of them when they go for the three and we should be able to initiate the break muchhhhh faster than before! Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Fun lineup, if nothing else. Off the top of my head, that also looks like the best-passing lineup we could put together without going small (Beans quietly improved his passing a lot last year). And as Supafishal points out, this is not a team that can punish us with guards posting up… this’ll be a rare night when they’ll miss having Artest as opposing to Ariza. If Turiaf and Biedrins can stay out of foul trouble early, we might be able to score our first 1-0 start since the fabled Mike Montgomery era.

Yeah, too bad we didn’t stick with him till he learned the NBA, he’s got a better winning percentage than Nelson.

The Rockets team is scrappy.

But they also look very mediocre. They were getting blown out but came back to within 9 points I think in the 4th. I think we will win tomorrow, but i’m not taking them lightly.

Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.

I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.

Who the hell is our backup center!?!

I’m gonna shoot myself if Mikki Moore gets MOORE than 10 mpg.

He's not a center

He’s our small forward according to Nellie. Keep up will ya? lol

He's our starting center now, didn't you know? Nellie doesn't like to give away his lineups early

at the monday practice

Randolph was the second team center with M’gette vs. the first team’s Biedrins and Turiaf.

Well...

thats the best starting five they can field without taking Curry or (god forbid) Monta Ellis out of the starting lineup…I like it, lets play!!

Randolph

Anyone have a timetable for Randolph to be completely healthy?

by warriorsnut on Oct 27, 2009 5:38 PM PDT reply actions

He might come off the bench

But they have not said how bad it is.

Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"

by dubzfan on Oct 27, 2009 6:33 PM PDT up reply actions

Love it.

At least until Jackson gets traded and Randolph gets healthy. Much better than the earlier Maggs at 4 “solution.”

Rotate in Morrow, Randolph, Maggette, Azubuike, CJ, in roughly that order.

Let’s play ball!!!

There will be no extra point!

by Sleepy Freud on Oct 27, 2009 7:11 PM PDT reply actions

THe problem is that he has very little else to put at the 4

The hope is that maggs can score enough to make up for his D again bigger players.

What happened to Stimpy, is he ill?
We could use Josh Powell about now
or that Jemario kid from last year?

Love this lineup.

When healthy, I’d like to see Randolph start. Depending on matchups, I’d like to interchange Ronny and Anthony.

Yup. We need one more good backup C, so we can play Ronnie more at P.F.

Welcome to the Pit of Despair! Don't even think about trying to escape.
