New Blog: The Boxing Bulletin for Boxing Fans!

Let the Charles Barkley fireworks begin. Straight from the TNT pregame show:

Charles Barkley: I’m telling you, the Clippers are going to be a surprise team in the West. And C-Webb just bet me, we’re going to bet a nice dinner, that the Clippers are going to have a better record than the Warriors, which is a no-brainer. The Clippers and Oklahoma City are BOTH gonna have a better record than Golden State.

Chris Webber: Oh, wow. The Clippers are real good at being terrible. They’re very consistent, every year. I’ve got Golden State having the better record.

CB: Every now and then, an ugly girl wakes up pretty.

Every show I've seen Barkley on lately he keeps saying

That The Clips and Thunder are teams to watch out for with some good youth. He keeps saying it like its some insanely bold statement…he’s about a year late on it.

Yeah man

He’s been hating on us for a long time. Back during the pre-Baron era, too. He was hating on Speedy Claxton and how the Warriors need to stop doing that “streetball crap”. He was pissed as hell, and this was before Baron was even on the Warriors.

He used to hate on J-Rich, too. Making fun of him in dunk contests.

During that Playoff series against the Mavericks, during halftime of Game 1, Barkley was mad and kept calling us midgets. He was shocked that the Warriors were even doing good in that game. And then in Game 2, during halftime, he guaranteed the Mavs would win the game, and that “when” the Mavericks win Game 2 they would win the rest of the series.

Game 3 comes along, and the Warriors end up blowing out the Mavericks. Unfortunately, Game 3 was on ESPN so we all didn’t get a chance to see Barkley’s reaction. Then, Game 4 comes along and it’s on TNT. During the pregame show the cameras were showing people in the crowd who had signs that made fun of Barkley. Everyone used those signs to make fun of Barkley since he predicted the Warriors wouldn’t win any more games after their game 2 loss.

So instead of hating on the Warriors (he couldn’t hate on the team anymore since they proved him wrong), he starts hating on the Bay Area. He says, “Those people are just mad, mad that they live in the Bay Area and not in LA”.

Then the camera shows Jessica Alba in the front row, and Barkley is shocked as hell and goes, “WHAT THE HELL?! THE WARRIORS HAVE PRETTY CELEBRITY FANS NOW?!!!”. hahaha. I can’t believe we actually had celebrity fans back then! It’s so hard to believe that now; maybe only the Heat, Knicks and Lakers had more celebrity fans than us.

Ahh so good to take a trip down memory lane. Don’t mind this long post, it’s just me typing up my reminiscing. hahaha.

Seeing the cavs game

They sure could use Sjax…

Agreed

They can’t match up with BOS and that’s what I have been saying. There too slow up front. They should put in Hickson.

So could Dallas by the looks of it.

by crab dribble cocktail on Oct 27, 2009 10:39 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Both teams' offeneses lacked a good wing

But Dallas did not have Howard so that is understandable but Cleveland looked pretty bad compared to last year.

Barkley as GM?

hahahaha I’ve read that Barkley wants to be GM. Freaking idiot. What owner would trust Barkley to run their team? Answer: ZERO

by HopHurdles on Oct 27, 2009 7:52 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

That would be so ironic

To see Barkley run a team that he’s been known to talk crap about. hahaha.

Pretty girls are fine, as long as they’re not hella high maintenance with themselves. haha.

surprised

I’m actually a bit surprised to hear Webb say that. On the NBA TV Warriors preview he said that the W’s wouldn’t even win 24 games. I mean c’mon…24 games??!! Just how bad does he expect the Clips to be?

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.

national tv

is different than nba tv.

So what are you trying to say? That analysts lie on NBA TV vs TNT? It’s not like there was a huge time span for him to change his mind. The NBA TV show was only a couple days before.

Besides, he could very well think that the dubs are a 20-23 win team & that OKC & the Clips will both lose less than 20. As unlikely as that is, if there are a ton of 60+ win teams, it’s not impossible for there to be a ton of teams winning under 20.

Yeah Barkeley is such a tool

The Warriors have been such a historically awesome team that anyone who criticizes them must be a hater.

On 5/7, the best part of waking is up LOLDGERS in my cup.
