Which 7 Teams to Choose for League Pass *Choice*?
Ok, help me out folks. They have changed the way they are doing League Pass Broadband this year. They have a lot of improvements to the interface - the most important for me being you can now have an archive of all the games in the season, instead of just having the previous game available.
They also now have two versions of LP now - the cheaper version (League Pass Choice), in which you pick 7 teams you can watch, and the more expensive version you get all of the available games.
I'm going for the cheaper package. Since I live in New York, of course I get the Dubs, but now what are the other 6 teams to choose for maximum entertainment value? I don't have to choose Knicks/Nets, since I'm in their viewing area. I'd like to get some games from every division. My thoughts so far:
Pacific - Dubs - of course.
Northwest - Blazers (considering Nuggets or Thunder as well)
Southwest - Mavs? (Spurs kind of bore me, considering Hornets or Rockets)
Atlantic - Celtics (Although I'd like to see Marco with the Raps)
Central - The Lebrons
Southeast - Orlando
For my 7th team I'd probably pick one of those teams in parentheses above.
Good choices? Or what would you pick and why?

Ha!
Well I don’t really have all that time. But I want to watch all the Warriors games I can, and this is the cheapest way to go, so I mine as well go for it. (I know there is a much cheaper way, but this way I don’t have to deal with sketchy feeds, plus I have an archive so I can watch the games at a reasonable time, instead of staying up until 2 in the morning watching the West Coast games).
If you know someone in the Bay, slingbox is a nice way to go. If you can get them to tivo it, you can watch it whenever it suits you….

I don’t have to choose Knicks/Nets, since I’m in their viewing area.
Too bad you can’t replace them with real teams… ;-P
Personally, I think I’d go: Warriors, Celtics, LeBrons, Howards, Roys, Roses, and Tyrekes.
There will be no extra point!
Like the first 5, really question the last two. You’d rather watch Rose than Paul? I’ll give you that Chicago will probably be better since Rose’s teammates are better…
The Kings, though?! Really?

Yeah, but I like finding things out, so…why?!

Haha. #1 for obvious reasons; #2 ‘cos I’m a fan and they’re really good; #3-4 ‘cos they’re really good; #5 ‘cos they’re good and young; #6 ‘cos they’re pretty good and have good uniforms and I’m curious to see how Rose progresses; #7 ‘cos they’re local and I’m fascinated by Tyreke Evans.
Paul is a phenomenal player, best PG in the league by far, but somehow I don’t think he’s going to show me anything this season that I haven’t seen from him already. And like LostHawk, I find everyone else on that team pretty boring.
There will be no extra point!

Clippers? Why would anyone want to watch the Clippers, especially with Griffin out for a while?

nice overall melody
I’d take MIA over the Thunder or Bulls though

I was going to question these picks then I saw who posted them, and it all made sense….

I’ve been thinking about League Pass choice a lot lately. In the end, I realized I just don’t like a lot of teams enough to spend time watching them. I’d go with Warriors, Blazers, Magic, maybe Wiz… that’s it. Nobody else really captures the imagination. No TV so it looks like a lot of atdhe this year.
Plus, college ball is around the corner…
An empty barrel makes the most noise.
I would probably go with the Warriors, Suns, Sonics, Magic, Cavaliers, Mavericks, and then either the Nuggets or Trailblazers.
Thing C
little game update
Portland looks even better
Houston is not going to the playoffs especially trying to play nellieball
And Andrew Bynum is … good. Good thing we picked Diogu ahead of him, huh?
Frakking Lakers may have the 2nd and 3rd best centers in the NBA.
There will be no extra point!

Lakers: because Kobe is a monster, and I like their announcers.
Warriors: Of course
Cavalier: LeBron is a joy to watch. Shaq is intriguing, and If Stack Jack goes there they will kill teams.
Orlando: Dwight Howard, Healthy Jameer Nelson, Vince “third option” Carter, Rashard “Ice-O” Lewis, and Ryan Anderson for the local connection.
Celtics: They are about as dominate a team when healthy as any team can be.
Spurs: They may be boring, but they have talent and the best coach in the league not named Phil Jackson.
Thunder: Kevin Durant is Velvet Hoop.
Then you wouldn't get their annoucers.
Seriously, I think that their announcers were the only ones who give credit to other players and bust on their own.
Are there any teams...
…you would avoid, because their announcers are just that bad?
Here's something to think about...
The Cavs, Celtics, Lakers, Dalls, Suns, Orlando and Heat are going to be on TNT/National Television soooo many times that I wouldn’t double up on them on League pass…go with some teams that are fun to watch and not on national tv..If I were you I would do something like Dubs, Thunder, Washington (Gilbert/warriors East), Atlanta (up and coming/J. Crawford), I, Chicago unless you have WGN, Minny (J flynn, K love, Al Jeff), and either Memphis/Indiana/Minnesota

I would go.
Warriors, Clippers, Thunder, Magic, Hornets, Bulls, and Raptors.
Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.
I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.
RANDOLPH: "I know. But sometimes, you gotta let ‘em know."
(MT)
I would go...
Dubs, Thunder, Bulls, Hawks, Hornets, Sixers, and The WizArds.

Whoops...
That’s eight. Take out the Bulls (WGN) and you’ve got it. Quick backgroud on why.
Thunder — KD, nuff said. (tho they got a ton of great guys to watch).
Hawks — JJ in a contract year should go nuts. Got a ton of athletes. Think they should be playoff bound.
Hornets—See a genius at work three nights a week. Plus David West is a great big man.
Sixers—Lou Williams and Thad Young are two of the most underratedly (not a word) fun guys to watch in the League. LW’s got a lot of Monta in him. Hopefully, they’ll keep w/ the up-tempo style even tho Brand is back. Throw in Iggy, and that’ll be a fun team to watch.
Wizards—The return of Agent Zero, throw in a splash of the electric Tough Juice. Tons of high-volume scorers w/ Foye, Gilbert, Miller, DeShawn. And a couple athletic young guys in Nick Young, JaVale McGee, and Andray Blatche. Throw Antwan in there too. No defense, but a ton of scorers, should make for a fun team.

I have to say…I live in Philly – if you actually want to watch that team play, you’re out of your mind. I don’t have league pass so it’s often the only game I get…ugh. There are only a few teams I’d want to watch less…
by Missing Barry on Oct 28, 2009 10:04 AM PDT up reply actions
You may want to check the fine print
Being in Reno, I also have League Pass and not all Warriors games are broadcast from the Bay Area feed, my question would be do you get those games that are broadcast from other networks?
This house is full of m, m, madness!
This house is full of m, m, mistakes!
I seem to remember...
…last year, the league pass game was the home team feed, but that wasn’t always the case. However, you never got 100% of the games, sometimes (not often) your team just isn’t available. Usually that was if the game was national, so you could see it anyway.
screw the divisionals
i would go with…. warriors, blazers, thunder, suns, nuggets, bulls and grizzlies/hawks/heat/mavs/heat/magic.. forget the huge teams you can basically see the whole game on sports center highlights.
Taking somebody from each devision makes a lot of sense ...
Since that will get you the maximum number of games from every team in the league but ultimately I don’t think that’s the deciding factor for me.
Dubs, LeBrons, Celts, Hornets, Thunder, Magic and Spurs, I guess. I live in LA so I don’t need the Lakers. That gives me all the title contenders, plus the Hornets and Thunder for fun.
nice
Another east coast Dubs fan! I live in Jersey, and have league pass as well. U goin to any games? Warriors/Knicks at MSG or Warriors/Nets?
Aren’t both those games really soon? Warriors @PHI Dec 14…

She's not the biggest sports fan.
Since her birthday is her day, gotta do something she enjoys, rather than something she tolerates, know what I mean? Besides, then I get to play the “look what I sacrificed” card, which is the key to a happy marriage.
I'm an east coast
Warrior fan too, i live in New York. I wish i could go to the knicks games when they come but if not i am definatly watching them. If i don’t get a stream of the game from here, i only get to watch GSW 4 times(Nets,Knicks) and our national tv games which sucks cause i want to watch my team every game lol
Golden State Warriors Fan 4 Life!!!
The Golden Future
PF: Anthony Randolph
PG: Stephen Curry

I’d be satisfied with just watching the Dubs, Blazers and OKC. OKC is going to be quite the team in the next few years, if not now.
