Imagine if Lebron signed with the Clippers next season
I just read on ESPN insider:
"Leading the way in cap room? The New Jersey Nets. Depending on what the cap settles at, they could have between $21.3-24.9 million in cap space. They're followed in order by the Knicks, Heat, Bulls, Timberwolves, Thunder and Clippers."
Imagine if Lebron signed with the LA Clippers next season... How crazy would that be to have a supporting cast of
Lebron James / Thornton
Blake Griffin / Kaman
Marcus Camby / Kaman / De Andre
The west would have two powerhouses just like Celtics vs Orlando. This signing would really suck for everyone in the West and LA would really be treated to have two of the biggest superstars currently in the NBA... But anyways do you guys even think the NBA would even allow this to ever happen? I would think they would like to have one superstar per city for a cities sake.

Imagine when Lebron signs ANYWHERE!
That team will be pretty good.
Sittin in my scraper watchin Oakland goin wild, ta-dow!
It won't happen.
Don’t worry. Lebron would be worried about the Clipper curse.
Clipper Curse, but with $20+ Million a year
Welcome to the Warriors, Stephen Curry, the 2009 NBA Rookie of the Year.
Panda's and Curry in the Bey Area. Who would've known?
Conductor of the "We're Back!" Bandwagon!
Lebron would be worried about the Clipper curse?
or maybe he would like to prove he’s above any curse?

Blake Griffin
Lebron doesn’t want a blown kneecap.

+1
It’d be even slower and worse for LeBron than the Cavs current offense. The Clippers offense is already killing Baron Davis.

the Clippers would have to renounce the rights to
Marcus Camby to have enough money to sign Lebron

we should be open to posts that are relevant to our conference
Clippers issues have a big role in our attempts to make the playoffs as do Sactown, Memphis, etc.
I personally think LeBron would consider it if he could name his coach (which he could). Two amazing teams in LA? Hell yeah

LOL
Who’s to say that Mike Dunleavy isn’t expendable enough for Lebron to go to Clipper Town? I was once proud to say that the Western Conference was the dominant conference with the better teams, but now no longer. If Lebron comes west, we’ll be the better conference so damn straight let him come over here.
- iBall, do you?
It's really the most logical destination for him ...
If you combine market size, media exposure, cap room, and a team that can contend right away once he signs.
The only problems are two:
First, Dunleavy is a horrible coach. But since he’s also the GM, I don’t see how Lebron pulls a Magic and gets him fired. Dunleavy’s a bad coach in general, but he also seems uniquely ill-suited to coach a team led by LeBron and Baron.
(Imagine Mike D’Antoni with that team … wow).
Second, The Clippers are L.A.‘s second team, and they have negative cachet. It’s not clear – even if they won a championship – if they’d ever own the hearts and minds of the city the way the Lakers do. Will LeBron go to a team where might be second-fiddle in the city regardless of how well the team does?
NYC isnt?
They would have cap room to get him a sidekick like bosh. Then re-up D-lee.
How about New Jersey? Might move to brooklyn, owned by jay-z. Have Devin Harris and host of good young talent (brook lopez, courtney lee.
How about chicago?
I'm less excited by the Knicks roster for LeBron
And $21m isn’t enough to land both Bosh and LeBron. Lebron will be, what, $13.5m himself. That leaves between $7-$11m for Bosh, and maybe you get him at the high end of that, if the cap goes up. But you don’t get him for $8m, even with the lure of Lebron.
Does that cap figure include renouncing Lee? If they have to renounce Lee, he’ll get more money elsewhere. That further denudes their roster.
The Nets roster is even less appealing.
You might be right about Chicago, though.
How relevant was Cleveland before LeBron came?
The majority of fans are bandwagon (not counting Clips and Warrior fans), they will go to whatever team is winning.
