Around SBN: Tiger Woods, Tony Romo Grouped Together At Pebble Beach

I know we all hate these IF posts but could you imagine Noah instead of BWright

The Bobcats took Wright with the 8th pick and Noah followed with the 9th. We saw some flashes from Wright but he's been injury prone. Noah is having a heck of a start to this season. He's a real big and has room to grow. He has a unstoppable motor and does all the dirty work and does not need his own shot. Could you imagine if we had Noah right now? Sorry I know these posts are annoying but hey what else we going to talk about?

You really can’t use these what ifs cause there are so many factors that go along with it. Like how would Nellie would have developed Noah. I think if Nellie had Noah he wouldn’t give him much burn since he really cant run and gun as well as our other bigs. And what if it changed our record for the following season, we happened to make the playoffs and we would’ve never gotten a chance to get AR? Too many what ifs to even imagine. I say just think about the present, cause the past is what shapes the present, so any changes in the past could’ve drastically changed the current state of your Golden State Woerriors.

There’s a huge intangible you seem to be glossing over and that’s the fact that Joakim Noah is a massive douchebag.

True

But thats only if he’s not on your team. Kind of like Turiaf. You hate his energy if he’s on the other team jumping for joy after every layup. To be honest, I would definitely rather have Noah than Wright. Not that Nelson would play him

The real if is Hawes instead of Wright

You know Nellie’d let him jack threes at the PF slot.

What if we picked Andrew Bynum instead of Ike Diogu?

PF: Andrew Bynum
C: Andris Biedrins

But that means we probably wouldn’t have been able to make that big trade with Indiana (since they loved Ike so much) and we never would have seen the formation of the We Believe Warriors. We might have still never made the Playoffs and would be in a 16 year playoff drought right now.

Or maybe Bynum would have made Biedrins expendable and we’d make a bigger trade than the Indiana trade. We’d trade Mike Dunleavy, Troy Murphy and Andris Biedrins for some crazy big man or small forward to team up with Baron and J-Rich. Maybe then we could have seen a different alternate We Believe team, except three times as good. I’m talking WCF in 2007 and NBA Championship in 2008!

Yeah, “What if”s do get your mind going some times. Maybe in another dimension, the Warriors are a “classic” team whose franchise won 17 championships. Meanwhile the Lakers have never won any championships and they always get made fun of because their jersey’s are purple and yellow.

Bynum at PF?

What IF we wouldn't give Bynum a personal coach like Kareem

and Nelly would destroy his confidence thus making him a complete bust(trading him to Lakers where he would become a star)?

I’d rather have a healthy Wright than a healthy Noah. Considering there was no way to know about their respective healths ahead of time, I stand by Wright.

+1

He fits our system much better than Noah. Having said that, Noah is a great basketball player and looks to be a solid PF/C for years in this league.
