Nellie on KNBR: "We know Jack wants out, we’re trying to accommodate him," he explains. "It’s harder than hell to trade that guy. He’s got his history; he’s got a long-term contract. We’re trying."

will have to put up 30 assists to get out? then we’ll wish we had him back after a couple of games without him?

TRY HARDER!!!!

I don’t believe anything Nelson says.
The press conference after the Minnesota game was a freakin joke! Nelson looked like he was half asleep and didn’t know what the hell he was talking about.

Things that need to happen:
Trade Jackson
Fire Nelson
Fire Rowell
Sell the team Cohan!!

I’m totally on board with all the above.

Probably in reverse order from the way you listed it, but still.

There will be no extra point!

Trade him to Cleveland for their first round draft pick next year.

Problem with the Cavs

Is that all their money is tied up in players they want to keep (like Big Z). I think the Dubs could time it right and do the 30 day dance with Z, and it would be worth it to get rid of Jackson and his contract.

That said, what makes finding a deal for him so hard is that there are few salaries that match where a team is willing to eat long-term salary, either because of the economy or because it hurts cap space for 2010/2011.

I...

…understand the merit on our side, but I don’t like the idea of being involved in that trade/cut/resign back home thing that’s been done in recent years. It’s a load of crap, so far as I’m concerned.
