Saw this last night
And thought that Marc Spears was going be proven wrong and Jax probably wouldn’t get dealt until after Dec 15th.
A Sonics fan without a team... but after 6 seasons now of GS Warriors season tickets have convinced me to adopt the boys from Oakland.

I am VERY curious as to who the unnamed player is.
by SuperStarAR on Nov 12, 2009 2:38 PM PST reply actions 0 recs
I suspect...
It might be Big Ronny T….
He is so passionate about team atmosphere… also sidelined, so a perfect guy to get a 1 on 1 view from.. He also was not part of the We Believe outfit….so he is my guess..

He's also not one of the young guys
I can imagine Corey Maggette saying something, but you never know. I just doubt Randolph, Morrow, or Curry would have the nerve, and I don’t think it was Ellis. Maybe Beidrins…

Speaking of Harrington....
Against the Hawks this was reported…
That play was amplified minutes later when New York’s Al Harrington (23 points, 12 rebounds) missed a wide-open dunk on the other end, triggering angry boos and sending some fans to the exits.
That made me laugh out loud….

(23 points, 12 rebounds)
that’s pretty decent numbers to get boo’d ? maybe the boobird fans should get out there and see how they do?

Azubuike!
He has the most to benefit from Jackson leaving. It would solidy his role on this team and he’s not exactly a young’n anymore having been one of the four left from that we believe team!

Azubuike does look like a snitch.

I wouldn't...
…be shocked if one of the sources turned out to be Ellis. Of the established players, he’s been the one who seems both the most demonstrative on the court (the game against the Clips in particular, he frequently looked sort of incensed), and the most crestfallen after our worst losses.
Then again, it could be anyone, really. It doesn’t take a fantastic NBA mind to see that Jackson is both hurting the chemistry of the team, and is offering diminishing returns in the minutes he’s getting. Jack leaves, that frees up more Azu/Morrow minutes, more 6th man SF minutes for Maggette, and I suspect with any of those options we’ll be a more cohesive team, if not a more balanced one as well.

Seems like Monta doesn’t understand that this is part of what it means to be a leader, having a “the buck stops here” attitude that leads you to take responsibility for your team mates ad helping them not make mistakes. Unfortunately, it sounds like Nelson missed the perfect opportunity to explain it to him.

Bandwagon
The bandwagon lost a wheel, an axle, and the horses pulling it last summer when Montay went for a joy ride.

The Warriors media machine is in full effect
Just what the Warriors front office want…someone else to divert the blame from the atrocious front office.
Jackson isn’t the reason why this team sucks. What he and his agent have been saying (the retarded dismantling of a successful “we believe” team) is the reason this team sucks.
Getting rid of Jackson won’t do anything. They need to package their quantity and get some quality (star player) to build around.

I think we have pretty good talent (but a rather bad team). We shouldn’t be in a rush to move Monta, Morrow, Randolph, Turiaf, Azubuike, Biedrins nor Curry. That’s a pretty good list of guys that are pretty attractive to other teams. Curry or Randolph could develop into star players and Biedrins is one of the best young big men in the NBA. I don’t know that we need to be in a rush to get a star.
I disagree with you that getting rid of Jackson won’t do anything. The players are apparently saying that it’s bothersome. They need a fresh start, and it wouldn’t hurt to have a new face on the team that can contribute. It won’t help a LOT, but it will help enough to make the team more optimistic and motivated, I think, provided we get something pretty good in return.
Welcome to the Pit of Despair! Don't even think about trying to escape.
