Fire Nellie? Trade Jack? Trade Monta? Which would be best to do first?
So the players are giving up on Nellie, Jack still wants out, and Monta cannot co-exist with Curry in the same backcourt so which do we do first? My vote goes to firing Nellie because it's obvious he only cares about getiing the 24 wins he needs to pass Lenny Wilkins. But i also wouldn't mind trading Monta and Jack if we can get the right players in return. I'd prefer to keep Curry since he is a true point while Monta is pretty much just a scorer(which we have plenty of). Some possible trades are......
Jack and ME8 to Charotte for Diaw and Wallace. I love this trade but dont know that Charlotte would be willing to take on the extra years and Jack's attitude.
Jack and ME8 to Chicago for Deng, Salmons and James Johnson to make the #'s work. I like this one too and I'd think Chicago would too considering Rose is a bigger pg and they lack a consistent scorer at the 2 with BG gone.
Jack, ME8 and Acie to Philly for EB and Kapono. Not crazy about this but it would give us a decent PF and free up some cap space for next season. Kapono is in final year of contract.
Jack, ME8 and Turiaf to Toronto for Bosh, Derozan and M. Banks. I like this for both teams but only for us if we can re-sign Bosh. For Toronto they get a legit scorer to play next to Calderon and can move Turk to the 4 with Jack at the 3 and Ronny on the bench. This only happens though if Toronto is sitting in the 7 or 8 seed after the all-star break.
Jack, ME8 and George to Washington for Jamison and Butler. I like this one a lot.
I know how much most of you guys LOVE Monta so im sure there'll be some "trade Monta are u crazy". But all these trades would improve us this year except the philly trade which is more about getting a little cap room. And remember we want to get rid of jack for better on court chemistry. Yes Jack did have 15 dimes the other night but those are rare occasions that he is not a ball stopper.
Let me hear what you guys think......

Yeah all these are never gonna happen
and the philly one is stupid

Don't trade Monta
He’s the last of our issues
1. Cohan should sell
2.Rowell fired
3.Batman and Robin leave( nellie and Riley) and bring in Shaw , Van Gundy or Smart
4.Jack leaves
5.Maggs leaves
That’s what we should do in this order
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
And
Why would we trade our key player in Monta for the Bobcats 2 key guys? It’s not like the Cats are doing any better. In fact lots of Cats fans are frustrated with Diaw right now. The Chicago one is OK but they get the better of the deal. I just hate people picking on Monta even though he has been playing pretty good. He’s moving the ball well (bad shot selection is different from selfishness), he’s playing good D, rebounding well, and is still one of the hardest guys to cover in the NBA. One moped accident and he becomes evil. Then again we may be the most Bi Polar fans in the NBA.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
Your missing the point here buddy
We want to build a team that can compete for a title. Curry is def. gonna b a legit pg in this league. Monta will never be a top level pg. He’ll always be a 20ppg scorer but we have Buike, Ammo, Randolph, Maggette, and if Deng, Wallace or Butler were here they can score 20 any given night. But what Deng, Wallace, and Butler give us is a top notch rebounder at samll forward and better athleticism than Jack. If we keep Monta as our 2 than for us to be contenders we need a pg with size and defensive ability to guard a 6’5"+ 2 or 3. Being that we have Curry and we can see he has pg skills to run a team it would be in our best interest to use Monta to help us get good players in return since we have to find a way to get rid of Jack. As i’m writing this i noticed cbs reports that Nellie may step down soon and as happy as i am about that it still doesn’t make us contenders. I personally don’t believe that we can be with Monta AND Curry but this season will be much more enjoyable with Nellie gone and who knows what kind of growth this team can have assuming Smart gives Morrow, Ranolph, Curry, and Azebuike consistent minutes.
If we got equal value for Monta go ahead
But I know Monta is not a PG but he is a darn good shooting guard. I’m all for losing Jack for Deng but Monta is also a good rebounder and is playing better D. The size thing is odd cause if Curry gets bigger and stronger it may work. If not, I have my doubts,.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
Curry is a little dude
how much bigger do you think he will get? He will gain some muscle and maybe an inch but he’ll still be thin like Monta. No beef like Evans or DWill
I'm not expectingto get real big but just stronger
I’d like him up to 195. He has potential to grow to be 6’5 but that’s a big if. If I were him I’d try to be more of a D Will than a Monta.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
Why would we want
to trade Ellis? It’s not like he plays bad.
you don’t know it, but you’re a complete homer.
buy league pass broadband and watch the Celtics or Portland & whatnot and see what good defense looks like.

Um, I'm pretty honest about our team
And if you have watched him lately he has been playing solid D. Not Portland or Boston D, but just good solid D. You don’t know it, but your one of those Monta haters.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
yes, the warriors are full of solid defenders. that’s why they are the worst defensive team in the league. you probably think Turiaf’s over rotating, jump at any pump fake defense is solid as well. Jackson is this great defensive stopper that keeps his man in front of him more often than not….
you’re so effin clueless i’m wondering if you’re in jr high or something like that. Monta stays in front of his man less than Nash, doesn’t block out, is always slow on rotations (when he bothers to), faux hustles on close outs, gets abused in the post, reaches in far too often, takes bad angles, is easily screened.
you’re getting tricked by that force them left with the big man waiting defense on the dribble drive that all the W guards are playing on the perimeter. except Monta doesn’t take a good angle allowing the roll pass for some easy lay ins.

Um no I don't
I think you just want to take as many shots at Monta as you can. Monta is playing better D and has improved like it or not. He forces many turnovers, is a very good rebounding guard and is closing out better than he has in years past. Ronny’s over play at times is stupid and at other times he gets the block but he’s still our best post defender (not saying much). Jack is a lazy defender. I bet your one of the people that think Curry sucks cause he doesn’t average 20 PPG and isn’t making tons of 3’s.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
He's probably been the best defender
on the team along with Azubuike.
Now, you’re being somewhat belligerent, but I have to agree. Monta has improved his defense slightly in some respects, but he is hardly one of the best defenders on the team.

So, you only justify trading a player who plays bad???
If you want something good, you have to give up something good.
I whole heartedly agree with trading Monta. Curry is better long term because he’s a real PG. Monta can get 10 assists in a game here or there, but Curry, if starting will be averaging that nightly.
Monta is talented, but really only valuable to a team with a big strong 1. Beyond JKidd and….and…..and… see my point?!?!?
Monta is the square peg to the round hole.
Trade Monta and SJACK -- and then DO NOT FIRE NELLIE
There is no better coach in the history of the league that would be better suited to training Curry to play the point.
In order of what should happen
Fire Nelson after the next loss cause he should be fired as soon as possible but you never fire after a win.
Trade Jack to get anything, I like the deals that have been discussed on other post especially the one for Dalembert.
And finally with Nelson gone run and continually start a more traditional line up size wise with Monta at the point, Ammo at 2, Buike at 3, Randolph at 4 and Whoever is healthy at 5.
Even if Monta really hates the organization after the threats and publicity of them threatening to void the contract last year, he will bust his tail off to prove that it was Nelson that caused the problems. He will also will want to prove he can play the point. Those two factors only increase his value which come trade deadline time, and that would be the time to make a deal with Monta. If Monta goes it needs to be with another piece or two of ours for a stud like Bosh or even a Joe Johnson.
First thing we do is
win the Knicks game handily so we don;t care about beign negative.

Just blow up the team.To many bad personalities on the team! and no team chemistry
Miguel Cotto will defeat Pacquiao on November 14, 2009! For PUERTO RICO baby..
Fire Nellie
Me just dreaming, LOL:
1. Fire Nellie cause Nellie-ball does not work anymore.
2. Bring onboard Byron Scott, which should try and trade for Chris Paul for some of our expiring contracts.
3. Figure a trade and try to trade for some of the Hometown BAY boys like Leon Powe, J-Kidd, or Drew Gooden, etc.
*Scott at the helm with Paul and a couple hometown boys in the Bay, should intice some other superstars to come out and play.
Are you nuts?
You think the Chris Paul wants to play for Byron Scott? Do you think they would have fired him if Chris Paul liked him.
Bdiddy hated playing for him. Paul hated it.
BTW - name a PG that DIDN’T like playing for Nellie.
And NO, Monta is NOT a PG.
I've actually come to thinking getting rid of Monta is 100% wrong move
he’s got star talent he’s off a year long injury, and he’s under contract for 5 years at a reasonable contract (if he reaches his potential). The reality is, even if we traded him and others, cleared massive cap space… we can’t ign a better player cause of the imagine of warriors (MesS).
I think we need to do a better job building team AROUND him. Trade Curry perhaps? I like Curry, but it’ll never work, and 1 will have to go.
If we put monta in a ball movement offense (triangle) with GOOD passers around him, he’s more than fine. Perhaps I’m on the triangle right now cause i’ve been spending a lot of time reading about it. Look at jordan’s bulls. no point guard, but jordan and pippen were excellent playmakers and knew how to pass. Lakers? DFish was always a below par pg, kobe was the playmaker . It’s not even the triangle per say (though I would love Brian Shaw to coach this team, oakland guy!)
I’m just saying if we build roster around Monta with a system that SUITS him (he won’t ever be chris paul so why try to make him run an offense that way?

BTW Why do we want diaw-wallace frontcourt so bad?
I love diaw personally (even though he is overpaid). but they can’t get charlotte in playoffs in east… what wil lthey do here? Monta has more potential
Remind me why don't we trade Monta for Hinrich
Hinrich has proven he can lead a team, and plus he is also a capaple passer and he is a great defender.
he also has a shorter contract and is less expensive,
Imagine if we got rid of Monta, Speedy, Acie Law, and Jackson, and got Hinrich Nazr Mohammad, and Boris Diaw
OMG
look at our rotation
Steph CJ Hinrich
Hinrich Morrow Azubukie
Azubukie Maggette Diaw
Diaw Turiaf Randolph Moore
Biedrins Randolph Mohammad
I would be fine with Maggette if we had this rotation
This trade would make the team good defensively
then we could fire nelly and hire byron scott and we would be a playoff team with a bright future
There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq Chuck Norris lives in Texas
Frees up minutes for Morrow and Azubukie and clears problems
we trade too complainers and 2 bad players for 3 team players who can lead our team into the playoffs
we could hire either byron scott who is very successful or a defensive coach.
All the great teams are very good defensive teams.
This trade makes us so much better
There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq Chuck Norris lives in Texas
Not to ramble but if we did this look at our possible stats
Steph 13 pts 4 rebs 5 assists 2 steals
Hinrich 16 pts 4 rebs 6 assists 1 steal
Azubukie 16 pts 5 rebs 2 assists 1 steal 1 block
Diaw 14 pts 6 rebs 5 assists 1 steal 0.5 blocks
Biedrins 12 pts 11 rebs 2 assists 1.5 blocks
This is a great rotation
They would be good defensively while still scoring 105+ points a night
We would have 3 lockdown defenders in the starting linup in Curry, Hinrich, and Biedrins, and Azubukie is a good defender, and Diaw works hard and will not be getting dominated defensively.
Warriors will have solid role players in randolph CJ Maggette Turiaf Morrow and Mohammad
There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq Chuck Norris lives in Texas
Er, Curry and Biedrins are “lockdown defenders”?
I dunno, to me that looks very much like a team that would struggle to win 30 games (unless and until it figured out that Randolph was not just a “role player”; with him starting it might get to 32 or so).
I mean as long a you’re concocting fantasy trades out of thin air, can’t you get us at least one Top 50 NBA player?
There will be no extra point!
