I love how this organization says
“We’re rebuilding”
What exactly are we rebuilding? playing old vets so we can occasionally not get blown out?
I’d rather we play the young guys and let them develop and lose then play the old vet guys and win.
+1
I rather loose all games developing young ones rather than see sjax make bad shots.
Especially with AR being the only big we have that can rebound well.
Seems nelson wanted to appease monta by overplaying him. Or show of CJ. CJ/sjax to New York for change?
Maybe “I won’t do it” refers to being unwilling to play with Curry.
I can at least understand the AR benching – I mean come on… at least learn the plays (it’s not calculus).

I'm fine with curry being backup pg to monta
Gives us more size this way. But at least play him some. As for AR, this seemed a good game to let him loose and get on track, even if he was making mistakes
you’re right on AR, but I’m not going to complain when they win. the wins will be few & far between and I’d like to enjoy them.
I just can’t understand why AR wouldn’t learn where he’s supposed to be like 100x over – knowing that that would give Nelson an excuse to sit him. That’s just common sense, no? If I were AR, I’d study film and learn the plays so well that I could direct the traffic if need be.

the more AR is benched
the more he’ll try to prove that he belong.
yeah i know.
but common sense says that AR will be benched less if he learns the plays, no?
i think a middle schooler would understand this concept – it worries me that AR doesn’t.
it can’t be that hard, Curry this year, Kurz & DeMarcus last year, CJ & Kelenna (when they were brought up from the d-league) all seemed to pick up the offense pretty quickly.

hm
I’m gonna take crap for this, but I think Curry needs to have some patience. Maybe it’s just because of how Nellie subs him in, but he just hasn’t been that productive when he’s in recently. Also, he’s still a big liability on defense even as a PG. Minutes will come.
Curry
hasn’t played well enough to warrant the minutes he has been getting. At this point CJ is better than him. People read to much into players comments – of course it sucks to not play. Curry being pissed and not wanting to get used to not playing is an obvious response to being benched. I hope he doesn’t get used to it either and I hope he’s pissed too – at himself for playing like garbage the past few games.

I agree he hasn't played THAT great, though not terrible
but going from starter to playing 2 minutes in a game that’s pretty anticipated is a mind"fudge"

sometimes
coaches need to do that in order to get players attention/competitive motivation going. Stagnation and chroni poor play are killers of young talent. Minutes should come to those that deserve them – right now that’s CJ.

Wow! What ever happened to " Its a team game"
The main thing is the “Win the Game” To be whinning after a nice win on the road is pathetic and ill timed. I’m sure his dad will set him straight. Hey if anyone should be complaining today it is the Knicks and their overrated coach.

There is no doubt about this. CJ has a much better understanding of the speed of the game, and he shoots much, much better than Curry right now. He should be Ellis’s main backup. I would also be a fan of more time for Acie Law before I see a lot more of Curry.
I would guess the reason Curry is mad is because Nellie does not communicate the exact roles he expects from his players. It changes on a daily basis, and he usually doesn’t bother telling them anyway. And we all know his history with rookies, especially ones who make mistakes.
I misunderstood the title
I thought it was going to be about Stephen Curry being mad that he’s not playing for the New York Knicks.

Like he wants to be in that hellhole...
He’s already stuck in this one anyways.

I guess Steph Curry needs to learn a little something about 1300 wins!
Curry is struggling, and should be on the bench… it is perfectly fine to bring him along slowly. 10-12 minutes a game, until he starts to click? Sure, no problem. But booting him all the way down to three minutes, in the town that badly wanted him, was a pointed insult. I can’t blame Curry for being frustrated.
Incidentally, here’s a longer quote from Curry about it:
“It sucks. It sucks. You don’t want to be sitting and watching, especially how the season has started,” he told the San Francisco Chronicle. “Hopefully, I won’t get used to it, but we’ll see what happens.”
Coach Don Nelson said it wasn’t that big of a deal, however Curry plans to speak with Nelson just to make sure everything is okay.
“They haven’t told me that I’m doing anything wrong,” Curry said. "I’ll ask some questions, because I hate this feeling. I come in and work every day, try to learn and take practice seriously, so I’ve just got to keep doing that and be patient. … “I’ll do it in a respectful way. I’ll do it in a way that shows I’m willing to work harder if I need to or do something different if I need to.”
That maturity has no place on this team, young man!
