We have to change

There really is no reason not to fully rebuild. We are never going to be successful with this team. Even if we rebuild, we won't be, we can't be get any worse. If we ever want to be successful which I don't know we do we have no choice, but to rebuild. We have to first let go Don Nelson and Keith Smart. The way we played was horrible and stupid, we have to destroy any trace of our old way of playing. I think we should hire either avery Johnson or Byron Scott as our new coach. Both these coaches have been succesful and are good coaches. They know how to run a team the right way. Ithink we should hire defensive minded assistant coaches.i think its best at this point to godevelop young talent and trade everyone, but Steph, CJ, Azubukie, Morrow, Randolph, Turiaf, Biedrins, and Brandon Wright. Trade expiring contracts for prospects. Trade Maggette for Diaw. Someone commented that we could get rid of Maggette and maybe we could get Diaw for him, and that would be a smart trade for us. It is possible and it gets us a fantastic player in Boris Diaw. It also gets us out of his horrible contract. Trade Stephen Jackson for John Salmons.

I also think we should start

Steph Curry

Morrow

Azubukie

Anthony Randolph

Biedrins

have Monta be our sixth man, and if we complains trade him for Kirk Hinrich.

No matter how hard Monta plays he will never be good enough defensively to stop the bigger twos. So we would need to play him less to help our defense.

We could be successful with this lineup

Steph          Have Hinrich, Morrow, Diaw, and Turiaf be your key players off the bench.

Salmons

Azubukie

Randolph

Biedrins

I also think that maybe we should trade and this may sound stupid, but we need to rebuild. That we should trade Azubukie, Claxton, and Devean George to the Knicks for Wilson Chandler, Tony Douglas, and Darko Milicic. Its actually a good trade for both teams though. The Knicks get even more expiring contracts. The Warriors essiently trade azubukie for Wilson Chandler. We trade Devean George for Tony Douglas, and Darko for Devean George. This trade gives us the very promising Wilson Chandler who is like a poor mans Tayshaun Prince. It gives us the great scoring and also promising Tony Douglas, and it gives us Darko who has a ton of potential, but never is given a chance to show what he can do. The Warriors get a lot of potential and they get Darko who fills the void for size and can rebound and play good defense. His offense needs work but it will come.

So if everything went well and the trades happened here would be our rotation

Steph Hinrich Cj Tony Douglas

Salmons Morrow hinrich Douglas

Wilson chandler Morrow Salmons Diaw

Randolph Diaw Turiaf

Biedrins Turiaf Darko

This team is good defensively and offensively.

So we get better and trade away troublesome players for successful veterans and team players. Plus we trade expiring contracts for potential.

We get better and still rebuild and develop our promising players. We would have a great young nucleus of Steph, Morrow, Wilson Chandler, Randolph, and Biedrins. Every player on this team are team players. They are good guys. The good thing about going younger is that when you go younger it allows the young guys to grow together, to bond together, to become brothers in a lame sounding way, and to become a team together. Hinrich, Salmons, Biedrins, Diaw, and Turiaf are team first players. There is a bond between Morrow, Randolph, and Curry. I think that Wilson Chandler, Tony douglas, and darko would be great fits with the young guys. These trades help the team rebiuld the franchise and the chemistry as well. Maybe this team wouldn't be competitive this year, but I think as the team gets to know each other, and the new coaches put in their system, the chemistry will improve, and the guys will get better and start showing their potential. We could be like the Thunder or Trailblazers in a year as long as we maintain the team. Imagine if we could keep Chandler, Steph, Morrow, and Randolph together imagine how good they could be.

We could be really promising and succesful. God, imagine if we had this team.

Another we have to do is sell the team to someone who actually understands basketball and cares about the franchise. We also should fire Larry Riley and hire Charles Barkely. This may sound stupid, but Barkely gets basketball and he knows what it takes to be a winner, he could help the team. Charles may be controversial and appear stupid, but he is honest, a good man, and he gets basketball. He wants to run a team, and he would be so much better than Larry Riley. I think he could really be a good gm. We would have a talented and promising young team, a good successful coach, and an honest standup gm who knows basketball. I really hope this happens or it happens to some effect.

Personally I much rather have Bill Simmons as GM

But it is just too many trades and the warriors would screw it up

well when he is healthy

I think it would be worth it to at least inquire about these trades especially the Knicks
I agree though I don’t think our sucky management would put in the work, but the question I am asking is do you agree and like the trades and new additions(gm coaches players etc)

I don't see a point

You are basically building a VERY mediocre team that is borderline playoff-bound. Your proposed team is pretty much like Houston right now and I sure don’t want that. (Better than what we have, but with next to 0 future)

Pure Genius

It seems like you have the answers to everything. I’ve never heard anyone else on this site ever come up with those trade proposals and ways to improve the team. True visionary.

i agree wit u 4the most part, but i do think ur missing 1thing. u c monte as a 2guard& i think he’s transitioning in 2 the beginning stages of an all-star point guard. he’s averaging 20pts&5dimez. 7or8 games in his pts r up 3 a game&his dimes r up 1.5. if u pay attention 2his court presence youll notice that its changing jurastically. those dimes r only gonna creep up as he improves throughout the season.
duz any1 else notice this, or is it aall in my head people???

Hire an editor or have your Mom read these posts over, even she knows Darko is trash.

Darko who?

Seriously man, you’re basing these trades on stats. In this case,Darko doesn’t put up anything anyways.

LAKERS DON'T PLAY WITH HEART

They are cocky and besides Kobe nobody plays with their heart and really tries every night.

There really is no reason not to fully rebuild. We are never going to be successful with this team. Even if we rebuild, we won’t be, we can’t be get any worse. If we ever want to be successful which I don’t know we do we have no choice, but to rebuild. We have to first let go Don Nelson and Keith Smart. The way we played was horrible and stupid, we have to destroy any trace of our old way of playing.

Just some suggestions to improve your attempted analysis: first, you say we are never going to be successful with this team. Why not? Provide reasoning behind this assertion, and try to give specific examples to back up your argument. We can’t be any worse if we rebuild? Sure we can, we could have no young players with talent and suck. I’d say that’s worse. How bad do you think we are, exactly, and what exactly do you mean when you say “we need to rebuild”? This team is built to get better in the future, do you disagree that we’re going to do that? Again, analysis beyond one sentence, with reasoning and examples, is good.

Why was the way we played horrible and stupid, exactly? Because all our big guys were hurt so we were using Stephen Jackson as a C? Sure, that’s a terrible idea, but what’s the alternative? Again, this is one line without giving us details on anything you’re saying – what are you referring to in terms of “the way we played”, and what can be done to improve it? Again, use evidence to back up your points.

Now to give my opinions. We have a young core of talent and guys who look like they have talent/potential. Monta is talented right now. Biedrins is talented right now. Buike is always a solid contributor. Morrow is a very talented shooter. Curry looks like he can become a pretty good PG, and Randolph looks like he can become a good PF. Wright is productive when he’s healthy and plays. We have the pieces in place for this team to be good in the future already, why do we need to “rebuild”? This team doesn’t look like it’s going to contend this year, at best we slip into the playoffs and get destroyed by the Lakers, but even that’s highly unlikely at this point. Jack and Maggette are older and more expensive than our future core, and shouldn’t be in the future plans, so if we can ship them off, great. I see no reason to try to rid ourselves of anyone else, though.

Diaw

Why does everyone think that the Cats will trade Diaw to us for someone like Jack or Maggette. While the Cats may have an inherent need for a potent scorer like Jack or Maggette, the last thing they want to do is take on more money. Even if somehow Larry Brown talked their cheap ass owner into spending more for a player like Jack or Maggette, they will not, I repeat, WILL NOT trade Diaw straight up. Boris is the team’s only quality PF and one of the key facilitators of their offense. Outside of Diaw, their only other PF is an undersized Wallace or space cadet Radman. Any trade on our part to acquire Diaw will almost certainly have to include one of our bigs. At this point, the only bigs who I can see the Cats wanting will be Randolph or Turiaf. If we have to give up one of those guys, then I really dont see how the acquisition of Diaw ultimately make us better
