Has Brandan been re-evaluated yet? I know he was to get checked out again 6 weeks after surgery.
Yahoo Sports has him out 6-8 weeks and CSN Bay Area has him out 4-8 weeks. Anyone know anything???

Forward Brandan Wright said the rehabilitation on his surgically repaired left shoulder is ongoing, but that there was no timetable as to when he’ll resume any basketball-related activities. He’ll be able to get his left arm out of a sling next week, though
Golden State Warriors sign 6-11 Chris Hunter out of development league
Any chance he'll play this year?
I’m bummed I thought this would be his year. I’d love to see him come back and play a little, and fuel a summer work out where him and AR4 go work out w/ Barry bonds and come back resembling Chris Bosh and Kevin Garnett (there best case body doubles)
Hopefully they can get some time out there together this year. Smart at least has shown a willingness to play tall lineups when the matchup’s right. Nellie will be back by the time Brandan returns.
Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.
I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.
RANDOLPH: "I know. But sometimes, you gotta let ‘em know."

nope. the 6-8 weeks is merely the end of phase 1 of the recovery process for torn labrum’s (immobilization phase). since it was announced that he was out for the year, he probably had to put screws in his shoulder and doctor’s orders are typically not to run for 3 months. it takes 6 months to fully recover – anything faster and your likelihood of re-injury is greatly increased.

let alone playing in the league.
If thats the case then there’s no way he gets back out there this summer. Oh well, at least this will help us resign him for cheaper.
thanx
Sorry I’m not a doctor, so let me see if I understand what you’re saying… 6 months from end of phase 1 (We’ll say mid/late december)? SO he can start basketball related activities or just generally working out end of may???
obviously don’t know the specifics, but as a general rule of thumb…..
1st 6-8 weeks after surgery involves immobilization. Upon dr evaluation, if there are no complications, physical therapy commences (involving ROM (range of motion) exercises and various stretching).
12 weeks (or 3 months) after surgery (once again assuming no complications), your allowed to do things like jog, ride a bike and whatnot (if you haven’t already been allowed to).
you can generally start to do anything sports related usually falls within 4-6 months – but it’s not recommended to do heavy lifting or anything full contact until at least after 6 months and sometimes up to a year (which is when your last follow up appointment usually occurs).
it’d be really irresponsible of the W’s medical staff to let him undergo anything full contact until at least 6 months after surgery. the longer they wait, the more stable his shoulder will be. rushing him back b/c they are “sniffing the playoffs” leaves him vulnerable to another shoulder injury.

Quite frankly none of us know Jack on this issue
I speculate that if we are sniffing the playoffs in Jan/Feb we may see him accelerate his return. Otherwise if we are out of it there is no point bringing him in.
