Warriors sources say Anthony Randolph to blame for his lack of playing time
(Marcus Thompson II) "Some in the organization, even in the locker room, say Randolph has been his own worst enemy and that this latest episode isn't Nelson's fault."

looks like the Warriors PR dept...
is going to give Randolph the Mullin treatment. This franchise is absolutely laughable!

So they aren't telling reporters its all Nelsons fault?
I feel stupid

By the way did anyone else see Jaymee Sire saying some Jax quotes where he blamed the erratic play and overall awfulness of the team on
not having a consistant starting lineup, people not knowing their roles, sporadic minutes for players, and so forth? Did anyone catch that on one of those comcast sportsnet shows? Who does that correlate to?

Watching Randolph tonight, that sounds 100% correct to me. He was playing like a chicken with its head cut off. The fire is there, the rebounding is there, the shot-affecting is there… but he is completely spooked offensively. Without any exaggeration, that was one of the most clueless offensive performances I’ve ever seen by an NBA player.
Don’t get me wrong — I was glad to see him out there tonight. He’s always entertaining one way or the other, and the worst Anthony Randolph in the world is still better than Mikki Moore. But he is extremely far off course right now, and Nellie is right to use caution. This isn’t like Chris Webber chafing at the demands of an unreasonable coach. This is like Mackey Sasser forgetting how to throw the ball back to the pitcher.

Agree 1,000,000%
Teachers ALWAYS pick on their brightest students. Pushing them to be the best they can be (in the army). Randolph will get the message, and I have every confidence that he’ll make it big time too. But we really need our players to stop listening to the stupid national media:
1. “Monta & Curry?!?!? They’re way too small! It won’t work!”
2. “Anthony Randolph!!! He’s a stud! It’s a travesty that Nellie’s not playing him!”
Both statements have some root in truth or probability, but people in the media go around proclaiming them like they’re two of the ten commandments. Monta & Curry won’t work all the time (neither do prototypical guard pairings), but they’re both very good players that can learn to complement each other. Randolph certainly looks like a stud and can do a lot of great things, but at this point he hasn’t remotely learned to control himself and take good shots, not make stupid fouls, and make the plays that are there instead of trying to make ones that aren’t. He wants it all right away, and he’s not ready for it yet.
I got home from dinner, checked the box and adthe, saw Randolph sitting there at 1/9 with a few few turnovers and 4 fouls in 16 minutes, watched for a few minutes, and then tuned out. He’s not ready for the big time. Can people please stop putting undue expectations on the guy.
You have been DFiBrillated.

This
Inbounding the ball after a basket was even a problem, what with him scooping it up off the floor and heaving it several feet over the guards’ heads. And while it’s nice that he has some handles for a big man, his insistence on taking it up himself after a rebound is getting out of hand. This ain’t summer league. He is Exhibit A for what coaches mean when they say a player needs to slow his game down.

Yup. He thinks hes a PG on every play.
Being able to handle the rock is a plus but that doesn’t mean he should do it every time

I love Randolph but...
He has some low basketball IQ. He keeps taking the ball down court even though Ellis or curry are right there. He goes at 150 mph and is too wild and is a turnover waiting to happen. He hardly passes the ball. At one point he threw a bullet at curry for no reason and just stopped moving and stayed around the 3 point line. He got yelled at by Monta for standing still. The Kid wants to be the MAN already but he needs to work on his fundamentals before he becomes a go to guy. I don’t blame Nellie for sitting him now maybe if it was later in the year then yeah I’d be pissed
