Anonymous All-Star Selection Fun
Alright, here we go. The following letters A - H are the per 36 minute stats of the most likely candidates behind Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, and Steve Nash for All-Star consideration in the West:

If you want to know who these players are, then either be prepared to cleverly read this backwards text with the strikethrough, or go to This Link where you can copy-paste the text into the box to flip it back around. I would recommend voting in the poll prior to finding out the answers, in order to get a more unbiased result.

Personally, I think Player G is the most deserving. I also like the all-around game of Player D, albeit someone I did not expect. But don't let my opinions sway you, pick whoever you like the most statistically and explain why you picked them!
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

G and C

Gimme a call you will see results in just a week

Is there a heaven for a Rap Cat, let's talk
I honestly don't see why people would vote for Player C so much
There are at least two players that are statistically better, if not three. Player G, Player D, and maybe Player E.

Because you can easily identify which one is Ellis (hint: look at the steals and turnovers)….

Well I know that… but I still didn’t expect the homeristic (is that a word?) response to be so strong. He has more than half the votes…

Are those stats right? Player C averages 24 a game
So why does it say 21.7? I’m not sure these are correct.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
per 36 minutes...
Player C averages more than 36 mpg, which means that their per 36 point total is lower than their ppg total. In reality, Player C doesn’t score much more often that those other players… Player C just plays more minutes than the others.

well that's stupid
PER 20,10,36,500,48 is stupid. He plays more, sacrificing his body, guarding fresher people, acquiring fatigue etc. And then you go and compare that to a guy who has 2 all-stars on the team, guy who has 2 hall of famers on his team etc? PPPPLEASE. Nash would die if he had to play 48 minutes every night with pathetic players like Moore and Radmanovic.
Which guy has 2 hall of famers on his team? Unless you’re counting one of them as part of the two, then I don’t see anyone with two hall of fame players alongside him.
Also, you are making a bold claim here. You are claiming that it is harder to put up good numbers on a bad team because you have to do more, whereas I’ve always heard that it is easy to put up good numbers on a bad team because you’re the only one doing anything.
While Nash probably couldn’t handle playing 48 minutes a night at this point in his career, who is to say he couldn’t have done it for this many games when he was young? And maybe the players around Nash right now don’t seem pathetic because he makes them that much better. Didn’t Channing Frye seem pretty pathetic as a back-up power forward in Portland? Is he really that much different than Vlad? They’re both soft big men that launch jumpers.

I actually think putting up numbers on a bad team is harder...
In Monta’s case, teams have been collapsing on him with every move he makes.
We have other weapons but they’ve been off or dysfunctional.

putting up #’s is easier b/c you get more touches.
take a look at what happened to KG, Ray & Pierce’s #’s that 1st year in Boston vs. the year before when they played with lesser talent.

Duncan, Manu (I know not a HOF'er) I meant 1 HOF'er and an All-star
Channing Frye makes his 3’s. Radmanovic doesn’t. Monta gets him enough wide open shots.
