From Ric Bucher's twitter:

Haha.

Baron + Gilbert combined from the floor tonight: 6-28. Sadly, that’s not that out of character for them

Thanks for the memories, love you both, but … good riddance.

There will be no extra point!

but at least they’re getting paid. good to see they’ve got their priorities straight….

Um, though funny, and pretty true, I don’t think it’s real. I’m pretty sure that is Ric Bucher assuming their priorities for comedic purposes.

ya

they are very far ahead considering they are both hit the lowest statistical numbers in their careers (besides their first years).

2 very efficient players too

At least they’re not still in GS. Amen to that.

They should be happy

they’re not in GS anymore. At least for Arenas. He, like all all-stars who left the Warriors, wouldn’t have flourished!

Why?

Please explain…

Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"

To start with lets state the obvious.

Both are way over paid and way past their primes and neither is as good as Monta. I can go on.

Bar/Gilbert in there prime> Monta in his prime

2 years ago you weren’t saying this now would you?

Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"

Right now Monta is better but I still wish Baron was here

It was a mistake letting him leave.

What planet do you live on to say something like that. Have you seen what Baron’s done since he went to the Clippers? His scoring is way down. His scoring efficiency is way down. His rebounds are down. His steals are down. He’s older (on the wrong side of his prime as opposed to someone like Monta on the right side of it). He doesn’t get along with his coach. He was injured last year. He has 3 more years at over $40M left on his contract. Baron Davis is the type of player that sets your franchise back years when you sign him.

Did you watch the Warriors when Monty was coach? When Baron showed up out of shape, was hurt, took horrible shots, didn’t play D, didn’t try hard, didn’t run the plays Monty called, and ended up running Monty out of town. That’s the Baron that shows up more than the one we saw for a year and a half of We Believe. Signing Baron would have been a colossal mistake. I’ll always think highly of Baron and appreciate the only good times the Warriors have had since I started following them way back in the days of Victor Alexander, but make no mistake – Baron Davis is a disaster waiting to happen (and in the process of happening on the Clippers).

As for Arenas, we were offering him $100M+ if I remember correctly. No more needs to be said.
