Warriors lose Moore to surgery
By Matt Steinmetz

The Warriors just got smaller.
The team announced on Wednesday morning that Mikki Moore, the starting center for much of the season, will be out indefinitely because he is having surgery later this week to have bone spurs removed from his left heel.

MORE TIME FOR RANDOLPH!!!!
Hopefully Anthony can take advantage of this time to improve his game and prove his worth to the coaching staff, front office, and the fans!

Kudos to Moore for playing through it all this time
I think Nellie’s going to start Hunter over Randolph. I think Hunter is more “stable” of a player than Randolph is right now.

probably true....
But still, Anthony will still get more minutes than he does now… until Biedrins and Turiaf come back =P

And the sad thing is
It won’t help teach Randolph how to be humble.
Based on the bits and pieces I’ve read, i think Randolph still has an attitude and ego problem, with an “I deserve to play” attitude, instead of an “I need to earn my minutes” mindset. Giving minutes to Randolph this way, even backup minutes, won’t teach Randolph the hard life lesson on how to be mature, humble, and responsible for himself.

I don't know about that
I think he’s regressed because of Nelson’s lack of confidence in him. When you hear your coach constantly put you down or say that such and such player did better in the preseason, it gets to your head.
Which, Randolph just needs to ignore to begin with. He just needs to get more confidence in himself and play the game and slow the game down.

I hope he's ok
but I don’t think this is a bad thing for the Warriors. Any d-leaguer will out-rebound Moore at this point.

I dont think Hunter is.

lookint at the stats...
Hunter is, but just barely. Of, course, Hunter has played a total of 126 minutes in his career so I have to assume he’ll get better.

I think
Most WNBA players could out rebound Moore.

Oh they can
Devean George here we come! Seriously though, I hope AR gets more minutes now, he has had his ups and downs, but there have been several games of late where he clearly changed the course of the game with his hustle, defense, and offense (when under control.)

This just in
The string I have hanging onto as a fan this season also just had a checkup and unfortunately will require 4-5 months minimum rehabilitation.

Hopefully this will finally get Randolph the consistent playing time he needs to develop. Although if they start Hunter over Randolph, they may as well trade him because I think that would be the final slap in the face.

I personally would like to thank Moore for his efforts...
While they may not have been great, it is never easy for a player to play through an injury and I respect him for giving it as long as he did to try and help out.
However, seeing the amount the criticism he gets for such efforts, I can hardly blame him for saying, “screw this…I’ll go get surgery”….
He may not have been much good, but I respect his effort and dedication to the Warriors uniform, as I used to say in my sig…Its about heart, its about fight…its about being a Warrior!

Actually
He didn’t say “screw this, I’m going for surgery”. He had a checkup the day before, and something must have looked worse, or the pain was too much, so he went for the surgery.
