Would you do this trade?
Discussed this trade with Missing Barry in another FanPost:
Warriors send out CJ Watson, Ronny Turiaf, and a future 2nd round pick.
Orlando send out Anthony Johnson, Brandon Bass.
Would you do this trade? This is basically trading talent for talent in Turiaf for Bass swap, both are getting paid 4mil per year averaging about the same career wise, with Turiaf getting 1 more assist per game than Bass, and Bass getting 2 more points per game than Turiaf. Bass is 2 years younger. So this is basically trading Bass's more defensive minded, banging down low for Turiaf's locker room presence. CJ Watson and the 2nd round pick is only thrown in to sweeten the deal for Orlando since they were after him over the summer and Anthony Johnson is put in to sweeten the deal as well for Orlando, also, he's making twice as much than CJ, so that would be a more valuable expiringfor us than CJ's. And we all know that CJ will book after this year anyways, so Johnson can rot on the bench all year while we have Bass be our starting PF with AR backing him up until AR shows more signs of consistency and play making abilities. So would you do it?

I wouldn't be opposed to it
It wouldn’t be an ideal deal since Ronny gives us a little bit more rebounding and passing but if it happened I wouldn’t be mad. Also I’m not sure if CJ can be traded yet.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
I always thought Bass was a more tenacious rebounder than Turiaf, but I could be wrong though. I know for a fact that Turiaf blocks much more than Bass.

I like Brandon Bass.
But I wouldn’t give up Turiaf simply because he blocks more (as you said) and Turiaf is a very underrated rebounder.
Turiaf seems to have good chemistry with everybody on the team. They also feed off of his energy and passion.

I dunno why everyone seems to be so high on Turiaf’s rebounding. At best, he’s average, at worst, he’s below average. Bass is a better rebounder than Turiaf.

Problem is
CJ is more than just some filler to give away.

Nope
CJ is a solid backup PG in this league. He’s jumper has developed over the years.
Anthony Johnson is trash.
I like Bass too, but I don’t think it’s worth giving up Turiaf. If their on court production is the same, Turiaf’s personality and contribution to the team off the court wins out…
Seems like Raja Bell's injury is not season ending...
We should do:
Claxton + Raja + Maggs for Shaq!!!

Bell's out for 3 months, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports
Which means he’ll be returning AFTER the trade deadline, doesn’t really help us much…

Not at all – I think we agreed in our initial conversation Bass and Turiaf are pretty comparable overall. I said I’d do it because Bass is younger.

I like bass alot
I like players like him, landry, millsap (though at the present time he seems a bit below the other 2, maybe it’s cause he hasn’t been in a situation where he gets 30+ minutes). but he can’t play C. If hunter shows he can play center over the next few weeks sure… then i’d do it….
Then again, there’s no benefit for Orlando, no cap relief. They got both Gortat and Howard, so Turiaf’s versatility at the 5 isn’t really a benefit. Bass’ offensive game at the 4 is what they like, its different from what they got
A big is a big. Why can’t Bass play the 5? That doesn’t make much sense to me.
