GSOM Night 8: Post-Game Anthony Morrow Q&A

Originally posted: Dec 8, 10:00AM
Just wanted to send out a reminder that tickets are still available for GSOM Night 8. We'll submit questions here on GSOM and then after the game, A-Mo will be answering those questions at a post-game Q&A.

A-Mo + GSOM. Gotta love it.

What?! Yea, you read that right. Chris Murphy of the Warriors hooked us all up with a GSOM Night 8 post-game Q&A with our favorite sharpshooting Yellow Jacket, Anthony Morrow. A-Mo, Chocolate Rain, whatever you want to call him, he'll be there after the game, January 8th against the Kings to answer questions from you. I'm extremely excited it and I hope you are too. All you have to do is purchase a ticket to GSOM Night 8 against the Sacramento Kings to join in on the Q&A. More details after the jump.

One other update to GSOM Night 8 is that the Warriors have lowered ticket prices by $6 for the sideline tickets and $5 for the corner/baseline tickets.

When
Friday, January 8, 2010 @ 7:30p vs Sacramento Kings

Tickets (Purchase Tickets Online)
- Club 200 Sideline (rows 1-9): $32 each ($18 discount)
- Club 200 Corner/Baseline: $20 each ($15 discount)

For Every Ticket Purchased

- You get to attend the post-game Anthony Morrow question and answer session
- You will be entered into a raffle for free tickets, merchandise and memorabilia
- You will receive a free Tony.psd t-shirt (finalizing the design soon)

We changed up the post-game activity from last time, the Free Throw Contest, so that we could bring you an up close, perhaps more intimate, chat with one of the more popular Warriors, Anthony Morrow. So far, I know the Warriors will supply a moderator and the GSOM community will supply them with a list of questions. Those questions will need to be created prior to the Q&A and we'll do that right here on GSOM. In the next week or so, look for a front page post where you can submit questions to ask Morrow.

DAMN!

Glad I took that picture with him…point being Ammo is really nice, cool to talk to, and overall one of the best players to have on our team. If you can’t make it, you’re missing out BIG TIME

We still believe!!

As much as I would LOVE to meet Anthony Morrow and support the GSoM community. I have already told myself to not go to anymore games this season until things turn around (read: Cohan sells). I just cannot stand to see this team in the state it is and seeing all these discounted tickets when STHs paid top dollar for their tickets before the season even started. And to have to see this level of basketball on the court for that money? Thanks but no thanks.

Actually,

I’ve been to the past 4, 5 GSoM nights. This will be the very first one I’ve missed since joining this wonderful community. I really do appreciate what you guys do for us, keeping this site running, and getting us involved with the team, but I’ve also had enough with this losing mentality this team has had for the past decade and a half and I’m just trying to find ways to support this team without giving them more of my money. I’ve only been to Opening Night GSoM Night 7 and you have no idea how much will power its taking for me to NOT go to anymore games this season…

There are so many people on this site that talk about boycotting the team, and I’m just trying to do my part, no offense to GSoM, LOVE this site. I check it more than my facebook!

So how does it work?

Anybody can buy GSOM tickets? Or do you have to be a member of some sort?

by Am22mO on Dec 8, 2009 7:07 PM PST reply actions

Yeah

Click the link for tickets and buy them and you will get it in the mail with instructions and after the game there are reps that will guide you to where ever you go. If they ask what company (or something like that) just say GSOM. That’s how it worked last time.

Anyone can buy

We’re a big community and always looking to grow so there’s no need for a membership and you don’t need a gsom account. You just have to be a Warrior fan who wants to watch a game on discounted tickets and come listen to Anthony Morrow answer questions.

alright I'll see if I can get my girlfriend to go

Do we have to stay for the event because I might have a night shift?

by Am22mO on Dec 8, 2009 11:12 PM PST up reply actions

A,so quick question

Where are those seats, I can’t seem to find them on the map?

by Am22mO on Dec 8, 2009 11:25 PM PST up reply actions

Answers

1) You can leave anytime you want. No need to stay for the entire thing. I’d recommend not leaving during the Q&A or if you know you have to leave, sit in the back to not disturb anyone.

2) The seats are in the upper bowl on the sideline in rows 1-9 (sec 213-220, 201- 204, 229-232) or on the corner/baseline (sec 221-228, 205-212). http://www.nba.com/warriors/tickets/map_prices.html

I'm in!

What time does the 3 pt shooting contest occur, after the morrow question session or during? Also how many shots do we have to make to win courtside seats?

I will definitely go and promise to buy a few tix. I will buy several if you can replace morrow with cohan.

holla back!

Three point contest?

I didn’t see anything about that. Not a bad idea though.

yeah

that would be cool if there was a 3 pt contest, but that is highly unlikely.

No 3 Point Contest

I think it was all just a rumor that there was going to be a 3 pt contest because there isn’t one. Sorry about that. Purchasing a ticket will get you into the Anthony Morrow Q&A.

For future GSOM Nights, we can look at a possible post-game 3 pt contest.

ok

sorry about that, i didn’t read the entire gsom 8 post. Morrow q&a is good for me. Thanks!

by drphil on Dec 9, 2009 7:54 PM PST up reply actions

Wow!

I have to say, this is pretty cool. It’s a testament to the power of the mighty GSoM that we can get time with a player after the game. I’m seriously bummed that I’ll be out of town for this one. : (

BTW, what do I have to do to get you guys to set me aside one of Tony’s sweet shirts? ; )

Damn. I don't know what to do

Can’t really see myself paying money to watch us get spanked by the kings, while AR spends 30 minutes on the bench and Vlad chucks up airballs in his place. I promised myself I wouldn’t spend money on this team until next season. But 20 bux is pretty cool. But I hate spending money to watch my team lose. I haven’t been to a game where we actually won since BD was here…..

Decisions Decisions……
