A letter apologizing for all the bad things Blazers fans have thought and said about the Warriors since they now know what it's like to be a fan of a cursed team.

I call BS
So as much as we hate to admit it, and as much as we don’t want to be put in the same sentence with you, we are now together in what’s becoming the NBA season from hell. And… we’re… sorry.

Like Jack in the Box said above, the entire league has been pointing and laughing at us for the past decade or two, so you actually DON’T know how it’s like to be a “cursed” team. Your team has actually had success these past 15 years. Only having 3 losing seasons and 5 playoff-less seasons and 10 times getting into the playoffs. And us? 2 winning seasons and 1 playoff appearance these past 15 years. So you DON’T know how its like to have a crappy team with management that doesn’t care about winning. So don’t even try to “apologize” when we as fans have been thirsting for winning basketball in the Bay Area for years now. Please, don’t call yourselves cursed. The only team I can see myself relating to are the Clippers and even THEY have gotten into the playoffs more often than we have in the past 2 decades! So piss off, Portland fans, we don’t like your kind around these parts. Only kidding! I’m a nice guy, but bitter to the bone because my Warriors just don’t know how to win consistently…

P.S.

We don’t want to put our names in the same sentence as you either.

This is stupid.

Don’t these Blazers fans understand that sports goes in cycles. There are ups and downs that are regular to a franchise but to compare their one season of problems to ours is just stupid. Oden didn’t injure himself riding a damn moped in the offseason. Oden already has the label of “injury prone”…so why is it surprising that he is gone another season. It should be expected that you cannot build your team around Oden. They aren’t missing 8 players in their rotation and they haven’t had to resort to the D league to fill a roster spot. The list goes on and on yet this letter exists. It’s not even bias on my part, this letter is just stupid.

+1

As sad as it may sound, a few years of garbage basketball doesn’t compare to our decade long of garbage basketball. And besides, their management actually wants to WIN and that’s more than we can say about our’s…

Good lord, I don't even know where to begin

That was such an arrogant and idiotic perspective of who we, the fans, are and how we view our team.

1. We don’t say we’re a good team. We know we suck. We proudly say we suck.
2. We know that 2 winning seasons and 1 playoff season in the past 17 years isn’t enough to be good.
3. We’re not an underdog because we play “in the same state” as the Lakers. I have absolutely no idea where this sentiment came from. We’re an underdog because we suck for so long and nobody gives us any respect when we have glimmers of doing something good.
4. We know our management is terrible. That’s not the fans fault.
5. We don’t have a mascot. If you’re referring to the old mascot Thunder, well, you’re entitled to your own opinion.
6. The Warriors mgmt deserves everything bad coming their way. The fans have been vocal and supported of the team no matter what, so they don’t deserve the failure.

And that was just his opening paragraph. Comments above me covered everything else I would say.

wth?

They could get on us all they want about all the “sucking” we’ve experienced in the past decade plus, but let’s not forget who drafted Sam Bowie over MICHAEL JORDAN and Greg Oden over KEVIN DURANT. That to me just screams a big fat “LOL!” and “FAIL!”

*PS – I know we’ve had our share of bad draft choices too, but c’mon. They had the opportunity to grab MJ, the GOAT! I would have killed myself if I was that GM. And now it just seems like de ja vu for them all over again. Other than Lebron, KD is the next best up-and-coming SF in the game today! If he is a beast now, imagine how much of a monster he will be in the next 3 years! And I could already imagine what Oden aka “Mr. Glass” will look like in 3 years: Injured.
