I am sick of everyone saying that we need a trade. The trades that we made earlier in the season are working in our favor, finally. Crawford is playing his role, maggette is accepting his role, our bench is playing well, kelenna is shooting lights out, C.J. is playing very well, and Turiaf has become a fan favorite by blocking everything. We are deeper than we ever could have imagined in the beginning of the season and it is paying off. I cannot find the stats but it is obvious that in the last ten games our bench is playing exponentially better on average then the competitions. What is making us good is that when our starters come out, nelson can trust that whomever he puts in is no longer just not going to mess up, but rather become a positive factor. JAX no longer has to carry all of the weight on his back, and thus can play his natural role and distribute the ball, hence the huge increase in his assists. I believe, and we should believe, that the team we have now is capable of playing very high class basketball (last two games we have had 7+ players be in double figures) Our defense is playing much better, and we are becoming a team, dont ruin it now. Why trade for someone who is going to leave us next year? Let the team come together for the year and if it fails then you have at least established some players that are capable of being traded for decent players next year. All im saying is dont ruin a potentially good thing (the development of chemistry and maybe a very good team in the future,) because you want instant gratification. trading beans/monta and randolph/wright ruins all the justifications for bringing them here in the first place.
Oh, and quickly, even thinking about trading monta because he isnt back into the same shape he was last year is absurd. he has played ten or so games after having a decent size surgery, relax he will be a superstar one day.
