Not sure what it is about the Oracle but Portland is terrified of that place. The Trailblazers haven't won in Oakland in (count it) FOUR YEARS.

Make no mistake - take NOTHING for granted. If you haven't been paying attention to the Roy-Oden-Aldridge trio this season, you've been missing a force to be reckoned with. This is a young team that is on their way to the top.

But hey, let's not discount the Warriors either, shall we? We're 18-35 and still capable of taking down good teams, especially on our home floor. Stack Jack has been playing well as of late, and we have plenty, plenty, plenty of shooters who can knock down jumper after jumper.

And our defense as of late? Well let me tell you, it's... it's.... um...

That's right. Jumper after jumper after jumper. LOOK OUT!!!

  • Greg Oden meets Turiaf. Blocking ensues.
  • Monta scores 20+

I'm a Portland fan

and I don’t think we’re going to win tonight. It feels like it’ll be a crazy game in the Oracle tonight.

I think either Oden or Aldridge will go off. If they get Turiaf in foul trouble, who plays at center? Anthony Randolph? Oden’s right thigh weighs more than him.

I guess it’s a tossup.

I remember last time

I don't exactly have high hopes for the Warriors

but then again, I thought the same about @Hornets, vs Suns, and vs Jazz. But then, you never know with these guys. And I think Hash is overstating our lack of defense, particularly after seeing the Knicks void in defense. Our defense as a team has been OK. Sometimes great, but usually at least OK.

On the subject of Marco

I really wonder how he is going to fit into our surplus of guards.

As of right now the minutes seem pretty fair among each guard. I guess whoever is going to make shots is going to be in is my guess once he’s back.

Interesting first half, we should be down by a lot more so I can’t be too angry.

Question though: With Nelson’s style of play (meaning video game basketball that gives you a 50/50 chance of winning) isn’t it frustrating to know that you’ll never bring a championship to the bay area?

Not asking this out of spite for this game, but if I was a warriors fan I would think this was the dumbest strategy. It’ll win you some games, but never get you deep in the playoffs if even into the playoffs at all. It just seems there’s no long term goal or plan to be executed.

He is a bonafide Blazer-killer. GG Dubs. I hate playing you guys. Nobody could hold Oden’s jock but he kept fouling like a dumb rookie. Playing against the Warriors drives me crazy.

Durant is putting up big numbers because he gets 18 shots a game

Greg gets 5 a game because Roy, LMA and others come before him. The Sonics just gave the offense to Durant and he has done well. But he would be no where near as good as he is on the Blazers because they have Roy. Thanks for the comparison but both Jordan and Pippen were great defenders. Roy? not so much. Durant? even less.

Don’t get me wrong. I was rooting for the Blazers, but was happy seeing all the Warriors super excited because they were going to the playoffs. I loved watching that team. The old warriors were fun as hell to watch.

It drives me up the damn wall when Greg flashes through the paint with his hands up and nobody gives him the damn ball. Nothing is wrong with Greg. His teammates are just not used to giving him the ball.

try having the youngest team and more than half the team never played together

And then add injuries to almost everyone throughout the season.

And a stubborn coach who won’t play some rookies.

Careless future-star player riding a moped. I hate people calling our warriors a “garbage” team or whatever with what happened in the off season and during the season. Especially blazer fans who had to suffer through a lot of this themselves last year.

The same thing that happened to

Dwight Howard last season, and Dirk Nowitzky in the playoffs. Quick players double teaming them messes up their game.

Greg is actually very good at passing out of the double team

If I was the coach we would give him the ball every freaking time down the court and let him post up his man or pass out of the double team and watch as the opposing team scrambles to get back on their man.

but for some reason blazers either dont think hes ready or there’s to many players who think their the focal point. Blazers should run a triangle offense like the Lakers but thats just one persons option
