Trade for Stoudemire

As a gentleman early posted, Amare is on the block. He has always been known as the perfect warrior, and we would all be excited to have him on the team. Here would be our trade proposal.

Warriors Get: Amare Stoudemire

Suns Get: Andris Biendrins, Ronny Turiaf, Anthony Randolph, Marco Belinelli

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=3190~2427~3455~2789~1727&teams=21~21~21~21~9&te=&cash=

Why the Suns would do it- They gain 4 young players. They are not going to win a championship with this roster so they need to rebuild. Although Amare is only 26, he will be a FA in 2010, and will likely test the market.

Why the Suns would not do it- It is hard to find a guy at age 26 who is explosive and athletic as Stoud is. He would be the cornerstone of the franchise when Shaq and Nash leave.

Why the Warriors would do it- He is the perfect warrior and an absolute beast. Although he may not be as good a defender as Beans is, he has about 10 pounds on him and is clearly the stronger guy, allowing more favorable match ups against guys like boozer and bynum.

Why the Warriors would not do it- They would loose some real quality players, especially beans. Ronny would be a big hit, but he is the only player with the contract size to make this trade possible. The microfracture raises concern on his health, and with all we went through with Monta, do we really want to pay a guy 15-20 million if he might get injured. He will be a FA in 2010, which also puts a lot of pressure to resign him.

I personally believe that this would be a great addition. Most people want to see a trade involving either Cory, Jackson, or Crawford, but you can't complain too much if we got Amare. Imagine our line up.

PG- Monta Ellis SG- Kelenna Azubuike SF- Stephen Jackson PF- Brandon Wright C- Amare Stoudemire sixth man- Cory Maggette

Not bad. Thoughts?

I love Amare

but I am not parting ways with Biedrins! Throw in Maggette and Crawford and even though he’s one of my favorites, throw in Jack. But NO on Biedrins/ Ellis. That would be sick as F——! Ellis-Stoudemire-Biedrins!! then we keep some key pieces like Morrow, Wright and Buike. That would be nice. I’m gonna pray we can get Amare!

Big ups!!... to all my haaaaterrrrrss!

Easy there

Don’t start involving Biedrins in any trade talks now, he’s our untouchable

by Monta08 on Feb 2, 2009 5:07 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

he’s our untouchable

you do understand that the suns will be asking for at least one “untouchable” player in any amare trade right?

Biedrins and Turiaf>Stoudemire

This deal would bring Kurz into the game more since we already don’t have enough big men, which is worst than anything in the world.

Biedrins and Turiaf>Stoudemire

I like Biedrins, but lets not get carried away with claims like that

Trading for Stoudemire

I wouldn’t give up Biedrins and Turiaf by themselves, let alone with Randolph and Belinelli. There’s just no way I’d pull the lever on this deal.

Finally

a reasonable trade. every trade that has been posted we would obviously do it, but if you were the other team you would never do it. every trade you gotta ask if you were the other team would you do it. this an even trade. I wouldnt do this just because i dont think any big time player wants to be a warrior. Amare would leave in 2010 and we would be crap once again. Plus Beans is pretty damn good.

Think of this

Monta
Stoudemire
Jackson
Crawford
Beans

get rid of maggette and throw in wright, morrow, and randolph

This is AMARE Stoudemire, not Damon. Youre gonna play him at the 2 with Crawford at the 4?

THIS WILL WORK PERFECTLY.

we can start Amare in turn of Andris or PF and we would have the ultimate running team.
GHill would be perfect off the bench.

PG Monta/Cj
SG Jamal/Am/Bellie
SF Buike/Ar/Ghill
PF Amare/Maggs/Kurz
C Ronny/Amare/JDavidson

Marcus Williams will watch over the Gatorade and Towels.

Why would Phoenix do that dead?

You wouldn't make this trade?!?!!

I have no idea what you guys are thinking. Talk about overrating one of our own players. Biedrins is a very good player. He’s small for a 5. He works well because he’s more athletic and quicker than most 5’s, plus he has very good feet and hands. Turiaf is a decent bench player. Randolph and Belinelli have proven nothing.

Amare is an all star. A legit superstar, IMO. He’s a player other teams need to game plan around. The NBA is all about having one superstar and surrounding him with a couple of very good players. Picking up a center who doesn’t score but can play average defense shouldn’t be impossible for us as an adjunct to this move.

The reason this doesn’t get done isn’t because we won’t do it, it’s because Phoenix won’t. They need more.

Agree 100%

Amare = Superstar

vs

Biedrins = Good NBA starting center

Turiaf = Solid Backup

Randolph & Marco = Undeveloped Prospects

We will probably need to be patient and let this season play out.

you trade biedrins/turiaf then we only got amare as as big man

by bushido on Feb 4, 2009 8:52 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Yes, excellent observation,

we are rebuilding(hopefully) since we are absolute crap. I would rather rebuild around one All-Star caliber big and find the solid backups for him the in future.

We will probably need to be patient and let this season play out.

Wrong Stoudemire

Same players for Damon

PG – Damon Stoudemire
SG – Monta
SF – CJ Watson
PF – Jackson
C – Maggette

Seriously if you trade Biedrins, Turiaf, and Randloph the average height on the roster would be closer to JC then NBA. Ws don’t have enough height to trade 3 bigs for 1.

Enough of this nonsense...why the hell did i read this?

lets discuss actual trade possibilities instead of these fantasies…charlie villanueva is coming to the bay

that is way too much for Amare. Can’t give up both Biedrins and Turiaf. Heck I wouldn’t want to give up either.

by bushido on Feb 4, 2009 8:51 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Just to make sure I got you right,

If we could theoretically trade either Turiaf OR Biedrins for Amare straight up, you would pass?

We will probably need to be patient and let this season play out.
