Russell showed enough progress at the end of last season — his first as the full-time starter/fur-coated savior — that the Raiders will stunt his development if they can't get him quality targets who separate from cornerbacks.

His accuracy is improving, as is his ability to read defenses. Hopefully, so is the ankle he recently had minor surgery on to remove bone chips (relax, it was for a lingering injury, not from a lame moped accident).
