The big questions

starting lineup – will beans play and who starts in the PG? Will Nellie start morrow, who had his best game against the clips and have jc be point? Or will marco start at the point?

And of course the who plays the 4? If beans can’t play, buike starts so that AR can back the 5. But if beans can play, will we see an AR start perhaps? Especially if the big clipper plays are back?

No matter what, I sure hope morrow gets some time. Bad defensive team should allow him to be open for some sweet 3pters.

Yea...

I hope Morrow can light these fool’s up for like at least 30 and 10 rebs. I bet Magg’s is gonna light his former team up a little bit tonight just to stickit to Mike Scum-leavy. Nah but I think with Marco’s recent good play lately he’s going to take Ellis’s place. I think it’s gonna be Crawford at 1, Belli at 2, Buike at 3, Jack at 4 and most likely Biedrins at 5. If Biedrins ain’t back it’s definitely Turiaf. Although if Nellie is true to his word that he’s gonna play the young guys then I would love to put this lineup out there to start and have other youngs subbing in and out: Belli at 1, Morrow 2, Buike 3, AR 4 and Turiaf 5. The Warriors truly have hella depth on this team though and that’s definitely a positive heading into next season!

Baron Davis, the fallen star

Just two years ago, Baron Davis was one of the catalysts for the We Believe playoff run and historic 8 over 1 seed upset. Just last year, he helped to lead the Warriors to a 48 win season, while being snubbed from the All Star roster. Everyone was talking about him, replaying his highlights on Youtube, proclaiming him as the Bay Area hero.

Today, he plays in Mike Dunleavy’s suffocating and controlled system. He is putting up terrible numbers. Few people mention his name, unless the word “boo” comes after it. No one talks about him anymore. No one cares. He is truly a fallen star.

And since Baron Davis is now in Hollywood, I expect him to turn this into a movie script during the summer break.

Did you really have to include the trade proposal?

I was so happy that the trade deadline passed because I thought it would be the end of all the stupid trade threads/proposals.

Boy was I wrong.

Maggette will be RAGED if he has to go back to the clips. If it saves DSterling money then I don’t see why they wouldn’t pull the trigger on any deal involving boom fizzle.

I think Baron is too distracted with things that are not round and orange to give fans what they deserve. Maybe I am wrong.

Anyhoo, the only way I would take him back is if he shoots WAAAAAAAAY less. We have so many gunners on our team that we need a PG who can create. Not a PG who is going to chuck away. Baron can do both, but would he be able to control his trigger finger?

Another SHOULD win

OK, that’s enough Baron drama in my last post. The Clippers are depleted and injured. Although I don’t watch their games, it would not surprise me if they’re not even motivated to play. The Warriors are coming together, playing defense, and have good and reliable depth and role players. So we should win this one. We should blow out the Clippers. We should be able to get Morrow in the game. Heck, we should be able to get Jermareo Davidson, Rob Kurz, and Marcus Williams into this game.

KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO is reporting a massive traffic jam on 110. Baron Davis and Chris Kaman are supposedly stuck about 30 minutes away from the stadium. They are likely to miss the entire first half at least.

Well...I actually got to speak with him after game 38 last year...

I got to sit in on the press conference and then a few of the fellas afterwards…. he had a hot little number waiting for him in an Asian School girls outfit and he does occasionally have a hint of english, but he has lost most of it.

Alas no…I was the tall skinny kid at school, hell even at University I was 6’4" and probably 150lbs….lol Then I hit 30……and BANG!

Soared to 240lbs..now dow to 220lbs and a little leaner……

Er.......its already happening.....

Kids have tried to take their parents to court in the UK for being “grounded” as being against the “European Human Rights Act” the creator of which I would like to burn at the stake!!!

PC culture has taken over the UK to the point of insanity. A burgler falls in through a skylight, and falls onto knives on the draining board in the kitchen….and not only sues the house owner for injury caused..BUT WINS IN COURT!!!!

So…kids taking their parents to court for poor nutrition is just around the corner…..

I mean, I think this goes back to what jack said several games ago

about wishing for more Warriors playing with fire. You got to have that fire to want to step on the opponent’s throat, smother them into the ground, and turn them into mush. And it seems we just don’t have enough of that collectively as a team.

cj sucks.

jack sucks. (when hes tryin to do too much, which hes gunna continue to do without a real PG on our team)

we really shoulda done the maggs + mwill trade…

maggs really doesnt fit our system at all, he needs to be on a half court team

and if we had baron, and hopefully woulda had crawford opt out…and draft someone good…we’d be set right now…instead we are stuck with maggs…who is hurting our team by not helping make his teammates better when hes on the court…hes justa void…a half court player…hurts to watch him on this team

if we had baron, baron woul be playin bnetter in our system…jack would be playin better with less responsibility….we’d be doin a lot better!

So a guy who is averaging around 20 points a game for us…does not fit the system…..???

A guy who has had a Terrible season with injuries and not played well AT ALL, which is why everyone is ripping on him in LA and you want him bck…..

A guy who turned his back on the Warriors for a fat paycheck and LA lifestyle……

Ripping on CJ….who aside from a few Defensive mistakes is playing quality bench play right now hitting some HUGE clutch shots in recent games……

how do u expect to have a quality team

without a quality PG that can fit the system

we dont have a PG…baron has proven that he can play well in our system

dunleveys system is terrible for baron, i said that when he got traded…to much micromanagement of the players, half court team, etc

maggs fits that system great, he doesnt fit ours….id rather have a starting PG than maggs any day period. we dont need scorers, we need someone who can create for others…someone that can defend other PGs

and as far as jack goes, it should be VERY obvious that hes tryin to do too much because he doesnt have any supporting cast members….if he did, he’d def be one of the best 3s in the west, but instead hes tryin to do way too much himself without enough handles and gettin TOS because of it

OK.....just to offer a slight different angle.....

Jackson is never going to be one of the best 3’s in the West…. He is good, but he simply does not move the ball fast enough and everyone is getting sick of his “Drive-whine to refs” play that he does every game. If he dropped that and passed more….he would be good, even very good, but he wont.

Baron had a great period with the Warriors with all that emotional “Hype” that the We Believe period ignited……BUT…that just shows how emotionally unstable he is, which is why Nellie had to bench him toward the end of last season as he simply was making ZERO effort on defense and his downward moral was affecting the team.

If you think we could have afforded to lose Maggs and trade his points for baron’s performance this year…..you are gravely mistaken. If Baron was here, we would not have seen Morrow show his potential, many of the other rookies would have gotten much less time and we would NOT even have the record we currently have IMHO.

Crawford has the best handles on this team, period. We simply have not worked out how to play Ellis and Crawford. Ellis was all pumped up to be the man and be the PG, but it is clear he needs to focus on being the SG. We actually need to give Crawford MORE control of the ball. He understands the game and he is improving his Defense considerably…. he will break the ankles of ANY player you put in front of him..and that includes Kobe….

So yes Baron shows a little of his “old-self” against the Warriors after being ripped to hell in the media…Well what a surprise…….lets see how he does for the rest of the year…….

He HAD his time… HE made his choice…… For the good of this franchise we need to move on… Having BD come back would be a disaster for this club and a disaster for him……

I see Crawford and Belli being our PG’s, Marco’s distribution is becoming really nice to watch, he is starting to realise that he CAN be a great PG and he is building that confidence.

That Leaves Ellis and Morrow as our sharp shooters with CJ in reserve…

At the three is where we need Magette….we never do it, but we should be swapping Jackson for Magette and bringing in Buike when we want aerial attack rather than ground attack to mix it up a bit.

I would trade Wright, MWilliams, Kurz and Davidson to get maybe another vet 4 to switch with Randolph.

leaving Turiaf to be the reserve for Andris…..

So for me…Baron is not the piece….but a veteran 4.

I always liked Billups and I would have loved to have gotten him possibly instead of Crawford, but I would take Crawford over Baron anyday…NOW as I just see Crawford getting better and better the more he plays this style of ball.

  I think crawford like to score too much to be a good point , Him and Montay are natural 2’s. Marco is ok as a reserve but we really need a better point along with that big power forward.

wow. i missed the game earlier and i just finished watching a recording

when things started turning sour in the first quarter i was like “oh no… we lost didn’t we.” i fast forward through us sucking and sure enough.. oh well. this is a different clipper team than the one we’ve faced before.

remember. it took a monster game from morrow to beat the clippers the first time. the second time they had 8 players with no baron, camby, or randolph… we eventually blew them out but we didn’t put ’em away as fast as we should have.

oh well. here’s to getting a good draft pick.
