Warriors To Change Colors/Logo in 09-10?

Did anyone happen to read the Sporting Green today in the SF Chronicle? There was a little caption on the front page with Jax's picture saying that the warriors are planning to change the warriors team logo and colors. Sorry, no link because it was just a small caption and not a full article. Grab a copy of the paper and you'll know what i'm talking about. I'm personally indifferent to this. I don't mind the colors and logo right now but i am interested in seeing what the team will come up with if this is true.

Ok, enough procrastinating. Lets hear what the GSoM community has to say about this while i head back to studying!

I figured that changes would be made after they let themselves get strongarmed into losing Thunder.

I figured Bennett would want to appropriate the lightning bolt too.

The only change they really need, is a change of ownership.

hey

if i buy a surplus of the old/current logo stuff and wear it next year after it was on clearance is that still cool to wear since they are still on the team?

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

I hope they go back to their classic blue and yellow

With the Bay Bridge in the Background as previously posted a few months ago. I personally don’t like the Warriors designs or colors right now, they reek of Chris Cohan. One good example of a team returning to their roots is the Pistons, who went with new uni’s and colors in the 90’s for Grant Hill, but ended up coming back to their familiar red and blue. If you notice, the good franchises don’t change their colors or uni’s too much, only teams desperate to sell some jerseys or create excitement completely change. And besides, is it me or were the Dubs invincible last year in their “The City” Jerseys?

i

hope they don’t copy the lakers and pistons too and change to those dam vest jerseys. I hate that design I don’t get it. Do they help a player out or something?

WTF!!!

Stay with the current jerseys, but they can take out the orange alternate jersey they sometimes wear when they play on the road.<img src=“http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/wPzlsxGgabK/Golden+State+Warriors+v+Los+Angeles+Lakers/B7hdgkiW8Vo/Ronny+”http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/wPzlsxGgabK/Golden+State+Warriors+v+Los+Angeles+Lakers/B7hdgkiW8Vo/Ronny+Turiaf" target="new">Turiaf"/>

Personally

not a fan of the current jerseys, too cartoony for me. I love the more basic/ simple look that reps the area like The City or the retro Golden State with Califonia on the chest.

Where is the Bay Bridge design?!

Back before the begining of the season someone posted a Bay Bridge design I thought it was sick! The jerseys did need some improvments but they were, in my opinion much better than what we wear now. Does anyone have a pic of these, or know the person who created it?

i'm kinda of upset but it's exciting news to here that change is coming lol

But i do reaaly like our current jerseys. the only colrs we know for sure we are keeping if Gold and probably blue. As long as are jerseys are cool i’m ok with them

i dislike

the orange jerseys. so ugly!

by weirdfishy on Feb 24, 2009 5:20 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

i remember hating the jersey change in the 90s
seeing footage of jamison in some uni’s is horrible
they’ve slowly moved away from the cartoony aspect of it all
but those orange alternates are still horrific
i hope they go back to blue/yellow bay bridge designs
