Awesome

Just what this team needed.

I believe I predicted this.

When Crawford and Maggette got into it in the same game where Maggette made a LOOKING pass about 5 feet away from where Turiaf was standing. I don’t even remember the opponent because the Warriors were probably playing against themselves.

maggs

altho benefitial to us in the short run….really fits our system and what we need in no way at all. half court player that is a ball hog…just doesnt work with the dubs….we need to trade him while his trade value is decent (maybe bad)…im sure SOME team would have great use for a half court wingman

IMO

Maggs needs to move off the ball more.

He often stands in or at the top of the lane that would be used by the dribbler to get to the hoop. If he juked around the perimeter or in and out of the lanes WHILE he called for the ball then he could crowd the D and open up the lane for the drive and kick. Instead he’s planted on the elbows or the wing with his hands up waiting for the ball. Whatever happened to cutting in the lane for the sole purpose of opening that lane up?

Jamal

Needs to shoot more and try to get to the basket rather than settle for jump shots – granted he can get really hot, but when he isn’t, he needs to get into the paint. Which is true for maggs too, he is going for iso mid/long range jumpers too often (granted he often makes them, but still)

Crawfish needs to go.

This is a perfect opportunity to let him know he isn’t part of the long-term plan here and encourage him to opt-out next season. All the Maggette-hating makes zero sense to me. Stop expecting him to be something he’s not. He is the perfect sixth man if you have a balanced and cohesive starting 5. That’s obviously the problem, not Maggette. Crawford needs to go. It’ll free up cap and unclog our glut at the 2 guard.

both need to go.

what is up with the Maggette hating?

the reason why he doesn’t pass as much as you NBA experts would like to see him do is because he lacks this essential skill. Would you rather have him make a TO on a bad pass or take a shot that goes in 40-50% of the time? I’m a firm believer that “a shot that’s no taken is a missed shot”. At least he’s playing to his strength, unlike StJax. I know Nelly wants Jax to be a playmaker but this is just not a good idea…which is why we still need that CP-type of PG…I dunno where we can get someone like him but as soon as this happens, Jax would be pretty much useless, unless you value his TOs and bad shot selections.

Are you comparing Jack and Corey?

If Jack is going outside his comfort zone to try to be a PG, then Corey should learn to pass the ball.

you're missing the point...

some people just don’t have what it takes to do certain things…just like Biedrins can’t shoot a jumper, or DWill can’t “play”, and in this case, Maggs just cannot pass. I can only assume that he’s been working on his passing game since this is his profession. We can’t know this for certain unless you’ve been attending his practices the moment he became a pro. We can only speculate he’s been “trying” to learn to pass. But obviously, he’s crappy at it. I’d rather have him not go out of his comfort zone (which leads to TOs) and play to his strength. Is Jax the PG really working out? You’d be a fool to say yes, unless of course you like seeing TOs and complaining to the refs instead of getting back on D to help his teammates out on the other end.

hhahaa

Man I hate that guy. Somehow he’ll explain how he totally saw this coming but nobody believed him. Everything is about Timmy.

Considering we haven't called Maggette out for being a black hole lately

I wonder if Crawford was mad about a specific play or something.

Is it weird

that I’d rather keep Maggette?

yea this is a huge issue

Because every player on every team gets along with each other every minute of every game of the season.
