Should we really part (TRADE) with Turiaf?
Ronny Turiaf is having a terrific first season as a Warrior, easily the team’s best defensive player (any position) and, of course, a crowd favorite.
Turiaf is a great shot-blocker and a very good man-to-man defender, and those two don’t always go hand in hand. Bottom line is he gives you a chance to disrupt the offensive game of the opposing team’s best big man every night.
He’s a captain, he’s playoff-tested, and he’s a positive influence on a team with a lot of young players who need to be positively influenced. He’s been a bright spot in a bad season.
That’s why it’s going to be so hard to see him go.
Warriors fans might have to start thinking that way.

Turiaf is the best teammate anyone could ask for. I would not want to trade him in any deal

No More Trades
Keep everyone on the Warriors except Crawford. Get a Meaty PF for Crawford and call it a night.
Warriors have a great squad… leave it at that

whoever wrote this article is a dumb turd.
the warriors aren’t going to trade their most valuable asset just because he’s desirable… if everyone thought that way, a star player would be traded every day. this guy clearly didn’t think this out before writing.

I don't
think you understood exactly what he was trying to say. He wasn’t saying we should trade Turiaf BECAUSE WE CAN, but to trade him in order to get rid of Maggette’s, or Jackson’s terrible contracts. Nobody will trade straight up for Maggette because his contract is much larger than the skills he provides, however, adding a guy like Turiaf who is very useful and provides MORE than his contract pays him for, the deal gets a bit sweetened for the other party.
