Can we realistically get Amar'e? Do we actually WANT to?

I've TOYED with the idea of getting Amar'e for fun, but in the end we aren't and shouldn't even try to get him. The only PF we could offer them that could viably start at PF for the Suns would be Turiaf. According to what the Suns are asking for, we'd have to throw in an expiring contract in and give up a first-round draft pick. On top of that, we'd have to free up enough money to pay for Amare. I strongly suspect we'd have to give them Randolph as well (as the Suns are asking for a young talented forward and may not put Turiaf in that category; then again, I doubt the Suns are very interested in Randolph either). I am CERTAIN the Suns have better or similar offers being made to them from teams, NOT division rivals. How do we free up money, by the way? We can't free up the money to make this trade, unless we give up Ellis or Beans. We know it'd be impossible for us to give up both Beans AND Turiaf. Thus, unless we want to void Ellis's contract due to his moped contract breach, since it would not be profitable to trade him right now, we wouldn't have the money. So here's what we'd have to do: we give up Turiaf (whose contract is FAR more attractive than Stoudemire's), give up Randolph, give up a first-round draft pick and give up CJ Watson, and void Ellis's contract. On top of that, we'd SOMEHOW have to convince the Suns this is SO much better than trading with ANYONE in the NBA, NOT division rivals. If we somehow succeeded, without Turiaf we'd have no depth and be weak at defense at PF just like the Suns. We'd be a +500 team perhaps, but we'd throw away a lot of our future. We ought to go for something more reasonable like a backup center so Turiaf can start, by trading two or more of the following: Watson, Crawford, Morrow, Belinelli and/or Maggette. I'd say, let's keep Wright and Randolph for a couple more years, keep Turiaf who is worth far more than we're paying, stick to our gameplan with Beans, Ellis and Jackson and just cross our fingers for the next draft. As far as three-way deals go, there's no way the Suns are going to make a deal that would make us better than them, allowing Stoudemire to come into their house a few times a year and rub in their fans' faces what a stupid trade they made to give us Stoudemire.Having read a bit about what the Suns want and all the factors involved, here's why we aren't going to get Amar'e and shouldn't bother trying.
