Biedrins expected to miss at least three games
It looked like a bad right ankle sprain for Warriors center Andris Biedrins when he suffered it on Friday in Golden State’s 115-105 loss to Phoenix, and that fear was realized Saturday. A team spokesman said that Biedrins will probably miss at least three games, not to return until Golden State’s first game after the All-Star break, at the earliest.

Argh
Shame, ‘cos AB had been playing really well lately. You might have missed it, cos he always plays well; and Nellie in his infinite fatheadedness, has been cutting his PT down below last year’s levels. But his last five games have been stellar even by his high standards:
per 36 minutes
16.3 pts (on 77% fg!!!)
14.1 reb
0.6 turnovers
Or for people who prefer counting numbers:
52 points
45 rebounds
7 missed field goals
2 turnovers
Ah well … on the bright side: more lottery balls!

We'll sure miss AB
Here’s where I do have to point the finger at Nelson for not giving Jermareo any playing time (only 13 minutes all season) in blowouts so that he’d have some contingency plan if AB or Ronny were ever not available. Kurz at the center just won’t work no matter how hard Rob tries. Jermareo is only listed as being one inch taller than Kurz but at least he has played as a PF if not a C (on a normal team, Kurz would be a SF). Jermareo may suck but we already know Kurz can’t get the job done.
On the bright side, if we win of the three games AB is expected to be out we’ll be doing better than our season average.

yay
God was mad at Nellie for not playing the bench. So instead, God injured Biedrins and he’ll be out only a few games, giving our bench guys a quick opportunity to prove themselves.

There would be a silver lining to AB's injury IF
-Randolph got a chance to play
-Nelson was so humiliated by the 5 guard lineup he throws out being destroyed that he woke up from his dream and realized small ball the way he tries to run the Warriors just won’t work.
-More bench guys become confident, helping our team next year
Realistically:
-Kurz starts or plays early in the game while AB is gone, then Nellie decides Maggette is a better option at 5, giving us a lineup of Monta, Craw, Jax, Buike, Maggette. Following this, the whole league laughs at our midget team.
-Randolph STILL doesn’t play. I know he is raw as hell and will undoubtedly make mistakes, but the guy does some things well (rebounding, blocked shots,) and I am a believer that getting him 10-15 minutes a night will help build his confidence, make him realize that he isn’t ready yet, and give some of the team much needed rest.
