Our roster and more specifically our rotation

Why Don Nelson refuses to run extended minutes with Ronny and Andris out there at the same time is beyond be, but attempting to understand how nellie thinks, im guessing that well have aboslutely no legit big behind our starters probably has something to do with it. Who cares at this point. I look at Turiaf's game and i think it complements AB's game and our starting needs perfectly. Nice outside 15 foot jumper, dominating shot blocker, decent rebounder when not cleaning up other shotty difense.

This lineup has the potential to DOMINATE other mediocre teams and compete with the best IMO: monta, jamal (or bukie), SJax, Turiaf, and beans. Blocking, scoring, assists, and team deafense. cant vouch for anyones one on one D but hey, its a start. That lineup when healthy IS a playoff team and maybe a second round playoff team if monta ever comes back to form. Something is still needed here namely a quality backup big with meat on his bones that likes to get dirty.

All this trade talk gets kind of redundant reading this site everyday and now im more interested in manipulating the things we can control rather than waiting for a pau gasol or ron ron trade. Amare, who would complete my dream sheet would complement beans and ronny perfectly but just isnt realistic and i hope i am wrong.

Please Nelson, go for broke and start em anyway. this team is not half as bad as our record might indicate and one tweak (wing for a big) and the start of a new season, we will be right!!! Im wondering what other fans think about ronny and beans starting together with maggette, marco or watson, and a big (to be named later via trade or free agency) assuming that bukie, jamal, and or morrow will be the cost of a big..

Poll
Is Turiaf a sutiable start WITH beans to round out our starting line over Bukie perferably but maybe even ellis or jamal??

no he needs to start

If somehow we can get Darko Millicic from Memphis we’d have a great team.

Turiaf is a really good backup

I thought it would be a good combo as well but the more i thought about it the more it didnt make sense with THIS ROSTER. Going small with buike at the 4 was really a move after BWright got hurt and nelson tried Randolph who Don Nelson seems intent to give no leash on the court. Once BWright it back I think everyone will see how good this warrior team is going to be. All the contenders have a rotation for every starter and we have a pretty good roster minus a solid (backup/starting PF depending on your option).

i've thought about this a lot myself

and i still don’t think he should start over wright or buike. i love the guy, but he is a terrible rebounder, and doesn’t have much to offer on offense but put-backs and inconsistent 15-footers. with this roster i think our best bet is to try to let wright develope his game and hopefully be a slightly better rebounder than ronny.

shawn marion's jumper makes me want to crap a book on how to puke.

The problem is

Nelly said this and it actually makes sense, putting them both out there at the same time invites foul trouble and if they both get into it there’s really not another option, the team needs another big. (yes Nelly said that during the Suns game between quarters)

There's a party in my mind.
And I wish that I was there.

If Nellie started both Beans and Turiaf, who would come off the bench as a center? Wright? Randolph? Kurz?! The reason why we NEED him on the bench is so that 1, he provides good energy for us off the bench and 2, we can rest Beans so that they’re both not too tired in the 4th quarter. If we had better bigs off the bench (which we dont), then by all means, start turiaf, but for now, we don’t have any other good bigs that can come off the bench so that the two of them can rest.
