Nelson Offers Details Of Lineup Changes
Looks like we have a new starting lineup...with Jamal off the bench?
Still think we're not trying to run JC out of the Bay?
He's also named Maggs as the 6th man leaving Jamal as...
The new MARCUS WILLIAMS?!?!?!

This isn't good for my fantasy team.
I don’t really like Nellie.

i think this makes sense, actually
monta+jax makes for a less than terrible defensive backcourt, for once. i think on defense, the backcourt sets the tone (to a certain extent), and monta and jamal consistently looked like ray allen guarding jamal crawford… not pretty.
maggs of the bench may not be a great idea, but there’s no denying that he eats up opponent’s backups. and that about all the eating up this team has done this year, so give him credit for that at least. and there’s good reason to believe jamal will follow as the resident bench ankle-breaker, which sounds like a decent idea to me.
our big question mark then, comes at the 3-4 positions, and how effective they can be… come next year, with a full and proper offseason, i have faith in AR at the 4. but we will need to acquire a legitimate 3, i think to make a difference. with that, i think we will have a decent starting 5 (not great), but a very decent bench…

i like this move a LOT
jamal can’t possibly exist with monte since they’re too similar, so it makes sense he leads the reserve unit while monte leads the starters. according to nelson, if monta, jack, buke, andris and bwright start, then i’m guessing jamal, belinelli, maggs, turiaf, and AR are the reserve unit. that’s a pretty solid reserve unit. you’ve got two vets on there who can score with good complimentary players.
by the way, i chose belinelli for jack over morrow because he’s more similar to jack. (can shoot + pass+ defend decently)

That would be a cool 10-man rotation. Although, Nellie typically doesn’t use a 10-man rotation. More like an 8-man rotation, but his lineups change constantly so I think all the players you mention will get about equal burn over the year.
If Crawford opts out, then we still have good reserves at the position in Belinelli, Morrow, and Watson. Although, I think one of those guys will be gone, regardless of Crawford’s decision. I just hope it’s not Belinelli or Morrow, especially Belinelli.

Belinelli is awesome
I just wish he can be a good shooter wide open. I mean props for the degree of difficulty of how he makes it look easy, but those aren’t always going to go in.

Marco should be at the point and Crawford at the 2 spot dontcha think?
Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?
I noticed there's so many of them
and there's really not that many of us.

Makes no sense, Montay is out of shape and Crawford is relatively healthy with better point guard skills?

It's lose-lose for Crawford, but it is what it is
If Monta screws up, everyone backing him up will use his injury as an excuse. There will be truth to that, but if Crawford can be more effective, then Monta shouldn’t be starting.

Well...
If we’re in full tank mode, trying to “work Monta back in” will be an excellent cover for playing a rusty player in an effort to lose more games. :-)
On the serious side, Monta will be with the team next year because his trade value is not nearly what he’s worth to the Warriors, like it or not. It’ll be best if he actually develops a rapport with the rest of the team.

i like the experimentation
why not?
yeah the warriors practically have to win all 19 (and dallas can win no more than 2, phoenix no more than 6, the east sweeps the rest of the western conference through the end of april, and the easterbunny goes 1st in the draft) in order to get the 8th spot and that looks mathematically impossible. so why not make the rest of the losing season as interesting, and hopefully competitive, as possible?
and you have to experiment because you’ve had nothing solid all season long except the biendrins/turiaf – if you call that solid.
what i mean is that because of one injury or another:
there’s been no clear choice at 1. monta has been down. crawford has been de facto because of his ball handling skill, but that temporary fix has gone on as a rest-of-the-season retainer. somebody, either the coaches or he himself, doesn’t have enough confidence in cj. marcwill never had a chance it looks like. and everyone else you could mention would cook up more turnovers than a pastry chef on meth.
at 2, bellinelli has been down and out or out of his game for most of the season. morrow has been forced to quickly adjust his game because of all the attention he draws from having a stroke from the gods (ohhhmmmm), but he’s not yet the go to he could be. that leaves captain jack to play big minutes, make big plays, give up big turnovers, and flirt with big cold streaks.
at 3, well who has played the position more than three games in a row this whole season? i see nellie is talking about putting corey/kelenna “back” there but i haven’t seen them there the whole season. its been fun watching kelenna guard amare stoudemire but c’mon, its about time the “muscle-bound bowling twins” work together on cats their own size :D
at 4… i’m like totally scared to comment here. it’s been like a power forward roulette wheel between strategy, injury, inexperience, or fouls. i think every able body in the warriors organization over 6’4" except mullin has had a turn at this position. in a feel good world i’d love to see a wright/randolph tandem waive their fingers at the block party and clean up the boards afterward but i somehow don’t see that panning out. but between these two kids, jamareo, kurz, & turiaf on special occasion to help beans rebound and defend you’d think that’d be enough. no other team has this much lank outside eastern europe.
so tonight is suppose to really, truly, be the first time the entire team is present and healthy. unless monta is still just speaking feces about his ankle health, then the full roster will be on hand to host a hungry nets team.
i wonder if anyone is gonna play defense on devin harris? cuz if not, he’s going for 40 tonight. these cats are .5 games behind chicago for the 8th spot and they show up to play the warriors? omg, vinsanity smells blood and top 10 sportscenter in the water. let’s all pray.
go warriors.

We'll know JC is definitely on his way out when
Nellie makes him one of the team captains. Worked for Al.
