So the Warriors have announced their ticket prices for the 2009/2010 Season, and all I have to say is how deceptive this price sheet is.
While it clearly appears that ticket prices have gone down, prices for season ticket holders have remained exactly the same, at least in the Sideline Club section.
While the face value has gone down substantially ($195 to $150) the season ticket holder discount is completely gone. Thats right, ZERO discount for buying 43 home games, including 2 worthless preseason games at full price.
My season ticket renewal invoice, even if I pay in full today, comes out to $150/ticket for $150 face value tickets. $150 is the same price I paid last year for $195 face value tickets.
The Warriors marketing team has done it again. Lowering the meaningless Face value demonimation of the tickets makes it appear that prices have gone down. People think its a deal and the Warriors get a substantial renewal rate and bring in the same amount of cash as last year.
Why dont they just say "Thanks for being a loyal season ticket holder. Were going to make prices cheaper for everyone buying single game tickets, but your season ticket price will remain the same." So much for buying in bulk.
The one idea that I can admire is adding a middle price point to the sideline club tickets, making them $98, $135, and $150.
Can anyone else comment about their ticket renewal prices for season tickets?
