Ellis' absence raises questions
Some of this might just be paranoia, but some of us here have also noticed Monta's discontent during recent home games. Have we discussed the possibility of Monta getting traded or voided during the offseason?

whats
the point of voiding… for boozer? our cap space is shiz. and monta has no value so we cant even get anybody worthwhile in return.
i think that the contract void threat should be rescinded
it’s killing his morale. i’m not saying what monta did was excusable, but alienating him won’t do any good.
Someone should show this article to Kawakami, and let him know you don’t have to be an irresponsible egoist to address this issue. Well done MTII, you’re actually a journalist (not that I ever doubted that in his case)!
This is just a weird situation. I hope he comes back and plays well, and Rowell et al publicly state that they are forfeiting their claimed right of termination.
Adoptive Parent of Francisco Peguero. He can throw, he can run, he can hit(fastballs), and he's Dominican. What else do you need to know?
Trade him
If not void him. The soap opera may get worse.

This is Terrible
I can’t believe this bullspit. One year ago I was so happy that the Dubs had the cap space to offer Monta a good contract.
Plain and simple: Monta ruined the freakin season by violating his contract. $3 mil is nothing compared to the money that they would have made if they made the playoffs. Now not only is he behind in his progress, it looks as though he has regressed. Is that not enough? Oh, well how about the fact that he is now acting the opposite of how a team leader should be acting: Like a spoiled little child. This is what happens when these kids come in without a college education and a big head.
Does he not realize that as a person who wants to be a leader he should be working harder to prove his worth to all of:
His teammates
The management
The fans
Himself
He is doing the opposite. He is acting like a spoiled child, not a man. Some people say that he’s still young and should be forgiven. F that. When I was his age a few years ago I paid for every single mistake that I made with no exceptions or special treatment. Why should he be babied? Because he use to have a first quick step? Being a man is understanding and accepting that your mistake affected more people than yourself and you owe it to prove yourself to those people.
He is only hurting himself by making a scene. How many teams are going to offer a questionable, complaining non team playing undersized 2 guard a contract worth over $10mil/yr? F it, if this keeps up void him, Crawford opts out and we have a chance for a decent free agent in the next few seasons.
The pop ups on this site are starting to piss me off.

That's a rec
Monta’s behavior is pulling him down towards the bottom of my “Root for him” list. And yes, his behavior is what made me ask the question of voiding or trading Monta.
+1
Excellent post.
He’s the one who puts himself in this situation and he’s THE ONE getting mad at the organization? C’mon now.

kobe was unhappy last year an now look at him
if we just stop sayin void contracr hell be fine he wants to play ball an get his money hes a buisness guy
Monta...
is seriously a big dumb @. I’m sorry but the Warriors organization gave him a great contract, plenty of minutes, an experienced coach and stand-up guys for teammates. His responsibility was simply to respect the contract he was given and play to the best of his ability. He whiffed on one of the two responsibilities and now is expecting the Warriors to CONTINUE their end of the bargain, when he didn’t keep his. Entitlement issues, Monta? Neither the world, nor the Warriors, owe you crap unless you pull your own weight, Monta. You publicly f’d up, they publicly responded which is perfectly logical. Go back to doing your job and pulling your weight, ya’ bum.
LETS REWIND ALLL THE WAY BACK TO THE RUN TMC ERA!
