Crawford gets word from Nelson
by Marcus Thompson: Sources say Nellie told Crawford to opt out or get traded during the offseason.
If this is true, then Nellie is telling Crawford the same thing some of us have been asking for in recent games.

yeah i just read this too
pretty harsh for nellie to pretty much say ‘we dont want you anymore’ i think jamal is a class act and i would love to have him on the warriors.
i guess Monta wins out
must’ve told the W’s either he goes or I go…
I'm going to lose a lot of respect for Don Nelson if this is true
I say Crawford should opt to stay put just to piss Nelly off. I like Crawford. Like I said in something I stated earlier… I would keep Crawford over Monta.
wtf?
have you seen Crawford play?
you are crazy if you think Crawford will take us anywhere.
he'd better prove he's healthy
that guy was a big part of everything that went wrong this year
well
at least explain why you’d take crawford over monta?
choosing monta is obvious from what we saw of him last year. and if all else fails we can always void him.
now tell me why crawford is a good fit for us.
Well, you're not going to agree
But Crawford can do almost everything Monta could do except dunk, has a way better attitude towards the team, is just as quick as Monta with the ball, and when he wants to, he can hella create for others. Monta does some pretty stuff with the ball, but as far as being a playmaker involving others, he’s a turnover machine. Just give it up dude, I want Crawford over Monta. What part of you have your choosing, and I have mine didn’t you understand?
Crawford is streaky
I would rather have monta because overall, we have only seen the 70% monta in his 13 games back. We are only counting the person we seen in him last year and I dont think its fair for you to judge that crawford is as quick as him. Monta can create for others as he drives in and kicks it our for a 3 pointer, for example. He can take it to the rim any time he wants in a half court set and has improved in his 3 point shot. But then again he was like 70-75%. I know he is being a crybaby off the court and driving fans crazy, but as a player I would choose monta over crawford.
Okay
You say as a player, but you have to have a good attitude towards your team to. Man you guys are on me for not wanting Monta. You don’t see me bugging you guys just because you choose to keep him. I let you guys have your opinions, so lemme have mine. Dang is that so hard?
don't you just love it
when people try to force their opinions on you?
it’s like arguing with your parents!
Funny stuff dude
These peeps attack me like I’m the general manager and I’m about to pull the trigger on the decision. These people crack me up.
isn't
that what forums are for?
forcing your opinions on others? discussing your opinions?
Discussing - yeah
I don’t know about forcing though. You can try, but most likely it won’t work. But everyone’s different. I just tell ya’ll what I think, not what ya’ll should think.
i tell you
what you should think. and you should accept it and like it.
… I would keep Crawford over Montay?
Yeah, Crawford has much better handles and shot, he could play the point quite well if he was given a game plan that stressed ball movement. He’s scored over 50 points more times than Montay and Crawford has more experience and a shorter contract than Montay. We could probably get more for Montay in a trade for power forward situation? Jamaal is also smarter and better looking than Montay.
Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?
I noticed there's so many of them
and there's really not that many of us.

We see so many articles everyday about more drama with the Warriors franchise that I some time’s wonder if the beat writers are just making things up out of theories to sell papers and that maybe it really isn’t THAT dramatic with the Warriors franchise.
WARRIORS BASKETBALL!!! Patiently waiting for a title...I may be waiting for a long time...
the past few games
I’ve been thinking, is Jamal not doing well because he doesn’t want to be trade? Not exactly sure if Nellie would say something like that, but the stats sort of matches. Did Nellie say this all out of frustration? Also, if a player isn’t do well, would other teams want him?
I wonder if Nellie ever regrets what he does or say.

We have too many guards
And while you get 20 pts from Jamal a night, he is a volume shooter and streaky at that. And plays little to no D and doesn’t rebound much. And Jamal is expensive.
I do think it would be better for the team to not have him and play the youngsters more, who could give you the same scoring (marco/morrow) and play better D.
I think Nellie is frustrated, especially since we were playing very well not too long ago.
ill take kurz over cj
cj sucks.
