Poll: Tic Toc on Renewals
Got our renewal notices today. My wife and I are split. I want to stop supporting this horribly dyfunctional franchise front office and coached by someone whose meanness and stubborness has driven me over the edge. But my wife wants us to find someone to slip the season. So I know a guy who is equally fed up and wants to partner up rather than renew two seats on his own. So at least I feel I depriving Cohan and Rowell of at least the equivelant of one season ticket holder by taking on a parnter who last year had his own two seats. If you have season tickets, what are your plans:

Did they lower the price on season tickets?
I haven’t spoken to my season ticket holder partner yet, so I was wondering if the Warriors lowered the prices for next season. I did a split on season tickets in the sideline club in section 102 and I had a tough time selling the games I wasn’t able to make it to. Most likely I won’t be renewing for next season. I’ll just purchase single game tickets for the games I want to go to.

Yeah they did
Lower Bowls are $38, $65, and $75.

How does the reduction add up percentage wise?

Section 106...
Went from $50 per seat to $38.. roughly at 25% percent decrease.
A Sonics fan without a team.. Though I'm auditioning GS Warriors this season.

Hey
I currently partner up with someone in the Lower Level. but I don’t think my partner wants seats anymore. Where are your seats? Maybe we could partner up?

partnering up
Hey Ballin, we are in A7 5th row in Courtside section.
CWebb is undoubtedly the answer but I forgot the question.

Dang...
If I dropped that much cash on tickets I would be just as frustrated as you have been. It’s easy to let it roll off your back from the comfort of your couch when your only investment has been a hand full of $8 upper-level seats all season.
BTW are you still active over at scout? dstern right? I noticed you don’t post here nearly as often as you used to.

haha
Same here. At $8 you get your money’s worth enjoying a competitive guy. I went home twice happy despite the Warriors losing to the Kings in double OT and once to the Thunder.

Re Scout
I still post but have been less active. Even I got sick of my own vitrolic posts—I just couldn’t or can’t get over what Nelson has done to the team this year independent of Rowell’s massive role. Lately there’s been some good stuff on the upcoming (weak) draft by soda. drama hardly posts but DRAMA is pretty much all we have left with this mess of a year. Still, it is ver erudite site IMHO.
I don’t think our mutual frustration is completely independent of the cost of a seat. The Warriors have two things going for them besides a wildly loyal fan base seemingly through thick and thin: 1. a very good marketing department and 2. the ability to be very competitive at home, especially against the best teams, so home games are entertaining and tense to the end. Of course the Dubs always play up against good competition and down against less good competition, so even teams they should easily beat give them a run for the money, so to speak. Obviously that is not the sign of a good team, but we know we don’t have a very good team this year.
CWebb is undoubtedly the answer but I forgot the question.

Everytime i’ve gone to a game this year the Warriors always would win. Toronto, Indiana, Milwaukee, Phoenix, and yes the Celtics have all fell short while I was at Oracle. As far as renewing i’m not really sure.
I'm still hated but still rated second to none, i'm everything you want to be but have yet to become.

Great Read Commish!
While I don’t have the luxury in renewing season tix I’m gonna attend as many games as I can. I know folks have been like “boycott everything dude…” but going to even just a few games is an escape from reality for me… I throw everything out that stresses me out and just enjoy the fact I’m there. Even when we lose I’m still happy 2 be at the Oracle LOL!
This seasons been tough, shoot I’ve been flaking on games when I’ve had the opportunity (some for personal reasons) but when I can, at least the games are on TV :-) My last game I believe is the Clippers next week… so Ill bee making the best of that one!

I sent a storming letter to various sources in the organization ....
explaining why I was not going to be renewing my season tickets…
Not one reply……
This organization has some truly pathetic individuals in certain key positions like head of marketing, season tickets, etc.
Truly shocking….
It's about heart, It's about fight, It's about being a Warrior!

I think almost all big-time organizations would be like that
I mean it sucks, but unfortunately, they just get more and more customers for every one that leaves.

Wow
Out of 117 votes thus far, 77 said no to renewing. Too bad like 5 % of the 117 votes were from people that actually own season tickets. If it is actually 117 people voting that own season tickets, I feel bad for the Warriors because no one will renew and Cohan will have less money to invest on the team he already gives two squirts about.
My Dad owns season tix and has for a looong time. He says he will renew because of how young the team is and because he is a loyalist almost to a fault. Me, I wouldn’t renew and would cherry pick games against CLE, BOS, MIA, ORL, LAL, SA and maybe HOU.

I will renew since they lowered the prices...
But instead of 4 seats, we are reducing it to just 2. Sucks, but that is the way the current economy and failings of the team have affected me personally. It was impossible to sell unused tickets this year and we literally lost thousands of dollars on unused tickets.

undecided
I finally opened the Renewal Packet yesterday and I’m still on the fence right now. The reduction in prices definitely makes it more enticing, but I spent a lot of money this past season on the tix. I don’t know if I can justify doing it again, but like someone mentioned in a previous post, the games have been pretty close and exciting overall, even against the top-tier teams. I’ve had a lot of enjoyment going to 90% of the games this season.
If I could get a sense of the direction the team is heading in, that would make my decision a lot easier, but with all that has transpired this season and the uncertainties with Monta, I’m really unsure at this moment. I am going to wait until the day of the renewal period to make up my mind.

GOOD QUESTION
My answer is still yes! I’m not completely broke yet! But I am thinking of splitting my seats w/ someone else. As much as I liked the freedom of going to ANY game I wanted to, I still wasn’t able to go to ALL of them. I think I average around 20 games a year, so might as well split the other half w/ someone else.
I’m definitely going to try and play hardball w/ them, making it seem like I’m not going to renew unless I can be upgraded w/o having to pay more!
BTW – If all of the renewal packets used the same paper, my picture’s in it. It’s the top pic on the third fold. I’m w/ Jax wearing my hat to the back and holding the ball! Boyeeeee! haha
Geeez Louf*ckingweeez!!!

I'm interested in renewing with a new partner, anyone interested?
My current partner doesn’t want to renew. I’m currently in sec. 120 (the diagonal angle across from the Warriors bench in the $38 lower level range). I say currently because with several people talking about not renewing or consolidating with others, I figure I’ll consider changing seats to a better location in the same price range at Select-A-Seat day this summer. If anyone’s interested becoming partners for any size share of games please message me.
Section 120 in the house! Hit me up if you're interested in becoming a season tix holder partner, I'm always on the lookout.
