I really hope that the Kings move to SJ.

Why? I'm sick of this stupid owner who just wants to make as much money as possible. I love my Dubs, but nobody in managemebt gives a damn about the fans. They're just going to try and get close to being decent so that fans buy tickets, at prices WAY too high, so that they spend as little money as possible, while forcing us to spend more than we should for garbage. I know most people here hate Marc Cuban, but I'm pretty sure that everybody here would love to have him own the team instead of this idiot Cohan. Cuban actually likes to watch basketball, and money doesn't concern him at all. He would do whatever it takes to win, and the Warriors need someone like that in the FO.

At least the Maloof brothers actually care about the Kings. I'm from San Jose, and if the Kings were to move here, I'd most likely support them until some changes happen in the Warriors front office.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

The Maloof's are cool

but the Kings belong in Sacto. It’s the state capitol and needs a team. The Kings represent all Californians in a way. They are talking about a new stadium for the Kings but these slow economic times will probably stall that effort.

Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?
I noticed there's so many of them
and there's really not that many of us.

You realize that the new Arena is rumored to be part of Cal Expo?

Which is all of state property, so while I can think of 35 million fans who would disagree with the statement that the Kings represent California, I do agree that the state is playing a huge part in such an accord.

You want the Kings moved to the bay so you can jump ship on the warriors?

Was just thinking about it and I decided the Warriors should be sold to the Maloofs and moved to Sacto. The Golden State Warriors would be a better name for the state team than the Kings. The Kings could come to the bay area and suffer under Cohan instead. SanHo gets left out either way. :>)

You should definitely read carefully.

I said I love the Warriors, but why should I support a team that doesn’t care about their fans? A change in ownership is what the Warriors need. Not a PG or a PF, they need someone in the front office who actually cares about basketball, the winning aspect, not the business aspect.

there has been talk of kings to SJ

its not that rowell and cohan dont spend… they spent stupidly, and unlike baseball u cant keep spending theres a cap and ur stuck i basketball. As for midlevel exception? You’re only going to get good players to come on that if they r the missing peice to winning a championship… u wont get a player to come on MLE to warriors to be missing link…. to make 8th place….

A moment of honesty...

If the Kings (or any NBA franchise for that matter) really did move to San Jose I would probably attend just as many games in San Jose as Oakland. I’d still be a Warriors fan first but I’d love to follow a second team in the area. Imagine if they were in San Jose for those Kings Lakers playoff years. That would have been a lot of fun to be a part of. I’ve never really felt a big rivalry with the Kings anyway so I wouldn’t have a hard time with it.

When there were rumors about the Sonics coming here I was excited too. It would have been great to watch Durant play regularly.

+1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

There is only one team for the bay. It’s not the Kings. I couldn’t live in san jose and cheer against a team here, way too wack. Maybe if there was an AFC NFC or an AL NL in basketball it could work. I support the A’s and Giants 9ers and raiders, but if they played in the same division, best know I’m pickin sides. My side is picked for basketball, and to be honest most people in San Jose probably feel the same. I go to DeAnza and there is hella Warriors apparel there, even at San Jose State people rep the Dubs, keep the kings in sactown or move them to Seattle, the 408 has a team, they just happen to play in the 510, but its only next door

Nah, I live in SJ, am a diehard W’s fan and season ticket holder. And I hate the damn disfunction of the W’s. Killing me for years. If we had a team move to SJ so I could drive down the street and watch them 41 nights a week, I’d do it. I hate hockey and still root like crazy for the sharks. If the team is in your backyard you got to pull for them. And I think most people in SJ would become fans of whatever major sports team broke the seal and came here.

omg hell no

what hope is there in the team they have right now? i would say they are pulling a memphis (pau gasol trade) and about to sell to a owner stupid enough to buy the team. go sharks.

Cool Name

Brandon Jennings. A Warrior in 09.

Sell Cohan

How about Cohan sell the Warriors to the Maloof bros. and Cohan and Rowell go to the Kings. Rowell is killing the Warriors. How can Cohan not see this when all the Warrior fans can. We are now officially the Clippers of Northern California.

I was never a Kings fan,

But i wouldn’t mind having their star players on the Warriors bench and just
COMBINE these two teams into the Warriors roster.
Impossible, but it’ll benice..

the kings in san jose

this could lead to a smaller market for the warriors. the increased economic competition and give our f.o. an actual reason to try to build a winning team. But that’s the only good ii see coming out of it.
