Did you Renew?
So over the last couple months, many STHs have been discussing whether they were going to renew for next season and I've seen so far a vote for NO. So in this thread I would like to know who actually did renew for next year? It's past the deadline of April 9 and I'm expecting a big decrease in renewals, but I may be wrong. This should be interesting!
I personally renewed, hoping to get better seats in the super value ($38) lower level sections and I believe that this team will be good next year.
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I don't have ST
but if I did (and could afford to), I would renew, for a few reasons.
1) I am a die-hard Warriors fan. No matter how bad they are, no matter how messed up the FO is, I will always enjoying watching the Warriors, especially in person, and I will ALWAYS be a huge fan.
2) This team is on the way up. I very much believe that.
3) We’re still (at times) a great offensive team, which is fun to watch.
4) No matter how bad we are, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant will always come to the Oracle.
5) Monta Ellis
6) Anthony Randolph
7) Andris Biedrins
8) Anthony Morrow
9) those no-look passes where SJax whips it down low while simultaneously spinning a 360 in place.

I agree with ALL your points.... however
You dont need to be a Season Ticket holder to achieve all those points. I personally have NOT renewed yet….
Reason being there is a lot of “Talk” from Season ticket reps and Robert Rowell that there will be lots of changes made for next year…. “like………what???”
In order to get value from being a Season ticket holder, I would like to know what lessons have been learned and as a result the changes that will be implemented.
Rather than simply “grab” the money early, maybe if the organisation is truly sorry that Club 200 fans got “screwed” then maybe, just maybe they could offer this seasons STH’s the chance to WAIT until August with a locked in April 9th price plan, to see what changes have been made and then for them to decide if they want to keep their seats or not.
But then that would require this organisation to give two hoots about it’s fans rather than simply grabbing the bucks.

Are You Kidding Me?
I stopped reading here- “I don’t have ST, but if I did (and could afford to), I would renew, for a few reasons.”
Some suggestions-
Read This Fanpost- http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2009/4/9/828111/meeting-with-robert-rowell-8th-apr
Read this select quote- “"First thing I will say is, if you were in Club 200 this year YOU WERE SCREWED! this year you were completely screwed!" I kid you not, those were his exact words. He said, "unfortunately with the economy the way it went, they simply did not foresee the speed at which the economy was going to fail just as they could not foresee someone falling off a moped (which I thought was quite funny that he raised that again). But he said "as the President of a business, I have to make decisions that try to generate as much revenue as possible due to the ever increasing Salary base among other things that must be met, that means if seats are empty, we have to offer promotions to sell some of those seats, however that meant that certain season ticket holders got a rough deal.”
Enough fucking said. I have been a warriors fan for a long time, and the second I became somewhat financially stable, I got season tickets, only to be screwed over repeatedly. After seeing so many tickets in club 200 for $8, $12, etc, in/near my section, there is absolutely no way that I will get season tickets again. That makes no sense whatsoever. Why buy season tickets if I could buy tickets the night of the game for less than 1/4 the price? I feel sorry for anyone who renews based on these new prices, because they are not going to sell out, and you’re going to get screwed too. This year was a very bad joke for club 200 season ticket holders, and absolutely nothing was done about it.
On a positive note, at least I can enjoy our rebuilding on an amazing TV with our reasonable commentary. If only all games were in HD…

+1
I’m one of those STH’s that got screwed. The organization basically stole from us by selling tickets for $8, when the face value should have been $48. That made it impossible for us to sell tickets when we couldn’t make the games. It’s bullshit.

+10000000000
This pissed me off to no end. I couldnt belive it when the seats next to me were sold all year for less than half the price i paid in full for a whole season. Then when i asked my season ticket rep what was the deal, she said it was just due to a promotion!!!! Fuck the warriors STH reps i have multiple season tickets for giants, warriors, etc… and the warriors are by far the worst. i had a pretty girl, Melissa, who wouldnt return a call to save her life, even made me miss the chance to upgrade last year.

Dang... sorry 2 hear guys...
Yea man, and whats funny is in the past how many games they kept having these “thank You” segments fir STH at home games and post their names all over the arena… wow that solves everything!

Yep Melissa is my rep
I heard from her TWICE, once early in the year and then to ask me if I wanted to go to the meeting with RR. Not sure what happened to her this year as last year she was on excellent form.

Is she the same one who claimed you may have jeopardized your dialogue since you "went public" with a "private conversation"?
That still makes no sense to me. In fact it is insulting to suggest that after INVITING members of the PUBLIC to attend. The double standards and hypocrisy know no bounds.

That's unlucky and bad for you guys but...
Would you rather the seats have been left empty or someone be there in the seats. Clearly, when you bought the seats you thought they were an adaquate price. Complaining later that the price went down for others under different circumstances is sort of silly and sounds a bit like sour grapes. I agree they were selling them for dirt cheap, but “I could not resell them” is not really a valid argument. I am a season ticket holder with the A’s and have seen the same thing happen this year, I mean only 20K fans at a Red Sox game, clearly the market has changed.
One thing I always wondered though, from Club 200 is it not better to just watch the game on TV in HD and save the $50-100 dollars? I don’t know from there it always seemed like a push in game quality. I guess I am spoiled by my seats at the A’s where for $20 dollars a ticket you can have one of the best seats in the house and $20 at the Warriors barely even gets you in the building (if it does). Everyone is saying what a great deal $38 dollars for the lower section is, but I am sure it is probably about 200 seats and the rest are full price and are all in the last row of each section. Almost certainly some kind of marketing scam or psudo-scam.
Oh well, back to reality unlucky on the seat prices last year for you guys I guess, hopefully this year the Warriors realize people now know what those seats are worth and price them accordingly.

Tough economy...
Too big of a commitment for me… I’d love to, but I’d rather try and save my house right now than commit on some ST’s. I’m a big fan too but sad 2 say, reality’s hit me hard in the face. I’ll take the tix however I can get em’!

yes
I renewed…but only half a season this time. I may downgrade my seats to the cheaper $38 ones too when it’s time to see what else is available in June/July.
After all that transpired this past season, I dunno if it can get any worse (knock on wood). It was also exciting to see Monta back and with Randolph playing smarter within his abilities, I wanted to give it another go for next season.

Yes
I renewed because my ticket prices went down. We went from 4 seats to 2. My friends were trying to say that we shouldn’t renew to prove a point to the crappy management and make a stand…my counter was that by that logic we could never go to a game nor watch on TV then if we truly were to make a stand. Booyeah! Finally, I pulled the friendship card and said that as my friends, they should support me and my decisions. Booyeah again! We renewed.

Keep canceling your Season Tickets
That sh*t is expensive, the more cancelations the better my deal will be! All talent and wins/losses aside, there is NO BETTER ENTERTAINING team in the NBA then the Warriors. The 2005 Suns are the only other “bettershow” out there, but they are gone.
