Ya Denver definitely deserves to make the playoffs this year, but Last year they seriously did not.

Yes, I'm still butthurt over it and this Buike block is what I think of them making it last year. Waaaah.

Buike is a beaaaaaast!

Go warriors. (still)

I don't hate Kurz but I don't praise him as one of my favorite players.

I was doing a Rob Kurz chant in the fourth quarter when we were down by….

3000000 something points.

I had much props for him cuz he didn’t quit. He had a clean monster BLOCK on someone. Forgot who it was on the Spurs. It was SICK!

ROB KURZ!

CLAP CLAP

ROB KURZ!

lollllll!

that was fun.

why didn't the nuggets deserve to be in the playoffs last year?

at the end of the season the warriors had absolutely nothing left in the tank. nada. we got killed in a lot of those critical games that would’ve put us over denver. the laker’s would’ve just annihilated us in the playoffs.

You bring up a very important point:

“the warriors had absolutely nothing left in the tank. nada.”

I blame nellie for that. It is up to him to find 5-10minutes a game of rest for his stud players. It really wasn’t that difficult to do IMO. Our Big Three (BD, Stack Jack, Monta) were very good last year but they aren’t robots. They are human. I don’t know why nellie thought otherwise.

I felt George Karl didn’t have a good handle on his players last year and completely lost them. They were good enough offensively to make it to the post season while he lost them with the emphasis on defense that he usually preaches.

Just as George Karl didn’t have a good handle on his players last season, the same could be said about Nellie and the Dubs at the near end of the season. Of course nellie never preaches team defense, but his ideal plan of kill opposing teams with outscoring and run my stud players to the ground went out the door.

I say Nuggets didn’t deserve to make it last season because they were just as terrible on D as the Warriors. They were second worse in points allowed (107.0) next to the dubs (108.8).

We had a better PG and leadership in Baron Davis than their star PG in Iverson.

Nuggets got swept by the Lakers in the playoffs last year. In my honest to God Opinion, Warriors would not have gotten swept. We would have lost in 6 or 7 and would have gave an exciting 2008 First Round Playoff series.

This year, the Nuggets have a very good PG in Chauncey Billups providing great leadership. George Karl has a better handle on this team while Denver is 12th in the league in points allowed, forcing the opposing teams to an average of 43.9% FG shooting and 100.9 points allowed.

So if Nellie was even remotely smart to give at least 5-10 minutes of rest per game to his star players last season, then we would have made the 2008 Playoffs.

Go Warriors still.

Don't forget about Houston

The Rockets were pretty close to getting the 1st seed that season. Had the Warriors made the Playoffs they could have faced the Rockets in the first round and would have ran Yao out of the building. Another 1st round upset by the Warriors, 2 years in a row. What a great story.

Although a better story would be if we landed Kevin Garnett in that 07 offseason. We should have never signed Wright to that contract, we had to wait until August 29th to trade him and it gave the Celtics enough time to want to give up Al Jefferson in a package for KG. The Warriors could have gone from the beloved 8th seed, to becoming the number one team in the NBA with the Baron/Jackson/KG trio to win a championship.

Hell, the Cavaliers would have been the 10th seed last season if they played in the Western Conference (Warriors had a better record than them that year and would have been 4th seed in the East, with home court advantage), yet after only one season the Cavs are already the number one team in the East. haha.

Waddup P-Fil Productions!

Wow. Great point about Houston. I forgot all about that.

Love your optimism with the Dubs, but realistically in last year’s playoffs, if we woulda made it, played either the Lakes or the Rockets I think we would have gotten knocked out in the first round. Though, I still wouldn’t doubt they could beat em and my warrior fanatic mental would believe it could happen.

I could live without not signing KG and I honestly didn’t want him here. Don’t get me wrong, I love his game, what he gives in day in and day out, and would have supported him still if he became a Warrior, but I would rather have a 3 year experienced Anthony Randolph in a Warriors Uniform and see what kind of damage he can do in this league.

So for me, a better story would have been “if we kept Baron”, we could have cause some serious damage with a team of: Baron/ Monta/ Stack Jack/ Turiaf/ AB with Morrow, Buike, AR etc off the bench.

That’s why I always argue with my cousin when he tells me “you guys need to trade for…” My mentality is we don’t need to trade ISH-knit. Give me a solid core, build a strong chemistry, give me young talent such as AR, Morrow, Buike, Monta, AB, etc. and i’ll be a patient fan to wait for them to develop into NBA Destroyers of the league.

3 Years? 5 Years? Hell man. Loyal Warrior fans waited 13 years for the playoffs. 3-5 years of young talent that fans love to watch ain’t crap to wait for.

My biggest problem that I been betching and complaining forever is my severe lack of confidence with the FRONT OFFICE.

That’s where I get all negative and question why I am such a loyal fan. Why should I get all attached to these players that I love to watch when we don’t know even know if they will be back the next.

Blah. I hate thinking about it and I’ll just get over it.

Good last points about “if the Cavs were in the west and if the Dubs were in the East.” That was always a great discussion to bring up during the Arenas, J-Rich, Jamison, Troy, and Damp years.

Stay up man. I’ll try to do the same.

LGW…still.
