Monta - Achilles Tendon

According to the post game eport on NBA.com, Monta has injured his Achilles Tendon. It does not go into details but either way...if that's another player we lose against New Orleans...we are in pretty dire straits! This was the injury I got in college and I really hope it is just bruised, which considering he could play through the pain, tends to suggest that is the case.

Fingers crossed.

So..... with that in mind I would like to throw out the following...... RICHARD HENDRIX!!!!!!! Can we please grab him back for a 10 day contract?

http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/index.jsp?player=richard_hendrix

He played a 27 point gamelast night and it seems he is continuing his defensive expansion.... I was a big fan of his when he was here for such a brief time and I would rather have him than Rob Bloody Kurz anyday.

Also this guy looks damn impressive but has not played since Feb?

http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/gamelogs.jsp?player=pops_mensah-bonsu

Likewise a similar player to Hendrix and maybe worthy of a 10 day contract

http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/index.jsp?player=dwayne_jones

I just dont think we can keep putting 8-9 men on the court......this is just plain stupid!

Combine that with the Refs who all seem to be watching a different game to most of us at the moment.... Let's have a look at some guys while we can...? Thoughts?

Also just noticed Shaun Livingston was just signed to a multiyear contract by the Thunder... maybe they see something in him for the future that some on these boards saw as well?

Like you said

he kept playing after he went down so hopefully it’s not too bad, but watching him roll around on the ground hurt my ankle! Either way it was hella scary.

Davidson has a mid range jumper

But I hope we sign hendrix to our summer league next year – never hurts to have more bigs

There’s something inherently wrong with a guy who can roll around on the floor like he’s dieing one minute then get up and go back into the game the next minute? We should use this to void him now and move on.

Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?

That's probably what it was,

but I think what Barnette said was also true. He said the initial shock probably just scared Monta more than the actual pain of the injury.

ur being a drama queen for even suggesting to void his contract over him reacting to a shock when he nearly re injured himself

you are the least logical person i've ever come across.

we should void ellis because he was in pain after rolling his ankle. how do you know if he was being dramatic or not…sry but that is the biggest load of bs i’ve ever read.

and most people wouldn’t refer to a finals mvp winner as a problem…

i suppose when mj was on the bench looking like crap in the nba finals when he had a fever he was just being a drama queen, right…

you're a troll, you have nothing of substance to say...you're incapable of having an argument

without making ridiculous accusations…can you refer me to the sentence in which i compared monta and jordans basketball game.

i compared their “drama queen behavior”..

its funny how you always avoid the argument that you’re losing, by bringing up irrelevancies

Montay’s drama queen act was the argument, not Kobe’s or Pierce’s or anyone else’s.

I dont know about voiding

But thats 2 games in a row where he hit the floor, rolled around in agony then popped right up and walked to the bench. Monta’s drama

Pops

The reason Pops hasn’t played in the D-League since Feb is because he’s playing for the Raptors….

by buju7 on Apr 2, 2009 6:54 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I just saw on NBA that he had been playing with San Antonio then released....????????

So was he at the Spurs or Raptors?

well he played 6 minutes for the Raptors on Wednesday night…so I’d say Toronto. He’s played atleast 15 games or so for them…I think he even scored close to 30 one night.

It works better if you reply to a particular post and use actual names rather than pronouns.
