Who's going to the Season Ticket Holder BBQ before the game?

For those who don't know, the Warriors are holding an exclusive season-ticket holder BBQ before the game against the New Orleans Hornets. It will be 4-7pm in the Oracle Arena "D" parking lot. Of course, admittance REQUIRES a RSVP (one entry per individual season ticket).

I'll surely be there (look for the white ALMEDA jersey), and it'd be nice to have a nice GSoM "council" meet-up during the event.

I know that a lot of the GSoM readership don't have Season Tickets, but we need to get our voice heard more often at these NBA games. Refs are just not cutting us any slack. We just be louder, so maybe we can get a group together and see just what happens these last few games.

Quite frankly, I don't mind yelling REF U SUCK till the end of the season, regardless of the ref, so the NBA takes some kind of notice. It's an important time of year too, as our players are NOW considering whether sticking with the Warriors is really the way to go. Since we're essentially the REASON these players love playing at Oracle, the type of energy we gave the Warriors during the Kings game gave them JUST enough push to win it. (sans Jackson, Biedrins, injured Maggette, Wright, etc.).

It's Fan Appreciation Month, but really it's Player Appreciation Month for our ol' boys being patient enough through a controversially difficult and emotionally taxing season.

LET'S GO DUBS. See everyone at the BBQ.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Didn’t realize you played Left 4 Dead. On PC? If so, send me your name at Ray.Almeda@sega.com. I’m the resident hardcore gamer here. :-)

Tony...

What’s your live GT? I haven’t played L4D in a while and it’s way more fun with people you (kinda) know.

Also, how are you liking Legends? I know it didn’t get the best reviews but I might pick it up just for nostalgia. Does it seem like it will have any lasting power or is it one of those games that gets old after a week or two?

drawlz 600 is my GT lol...

Lovin’ Legends VERY MUCH… My brother was a game designer for THQ for about 4-5 years and every year I got Smack Down Vs. Raw… loved it but as the years went by and I stopped watching Wrestling I didnt know who the wrestlers were LOL

Legends is easy to pick up, its almost arcade like- the signature moves, taunts and entrys are there… its even funner when you have 4 people in the house… do a 30 man royal rumble… its fun and hilarious!

I’d love to meet you guys. I’ll wear the green City shirt they sold for St. Paddy’s Day and a blue Warriors hat. should be there by 6. please look for me or tell me how to recognize you.

CWebb is undoubtedly the answer but I forgot the question.

Hash...

looks like such a happy dude. I think his smile is actually wider than his face (is that possible?). Actually I think Tony and Hash are the only GSoM crew that I’ve met in person and I only got a quick “What’s up!” in with Hash. Hope you guys have a good time at the BBQ.

BTW You guys should find a company that would make some GSoM Jerseys (in W’s throw-back colors of course) that we could order with our user-names on the back. That would make it a lot easier to spot each other at the games.

Yep...was kinda fun...maybe a little earlier int he season might have been good! ;)

Was very nice to get the “Rec” from Fitz when he said that “Ref You Suck” was the loudest he had ever heard corteousy of the “Shout Troop!!”

http://www.printroom.com/popupImage.asp?evgroupid=0&img_id=124609335&effectRGB=

Me left with Ray and the fellas! I had the girly with me today so no “chants” started, also Ray was not in attendance! but that said…those 7 fellas played as a very good unit tonght and all played for each other. Ball movement was excellent, they kept their nerve through a few wobbles….JC lead from the front, the way I have been saying for ages I believe he can. I truly believe, if we could it into Monta’s head that he is not as good a point guard as he thinks and concentrate back on him as a shooting guard, I think this team looks very good for next year. When JC is allowed to play a true PG position, he gets the plays set up. He is far from without fault, but I think his defence has improved and a little more play making and a little less shot taking and a little more driving to the basket and he becomes in my personal opinion a more rounded PG.

Unfortunately I think JC may well in fact leave and maybe somewhere like Detroit would be ideal for him, if Iverson is not in the picture there.

Great win tonight….LGW!

BBQ, Fitz, etc.

Yeah… Cool to hear Fitz say that he’s glad that fans at The ORACLE expressed those feelings about the refs sucking since he’s not quite in the position to do so, ha.

BBQ was enjoyable… Plenty of good food (especially if you managed to sneak a couple of plates of food out of the fenced off area like my friend and I did), handful of players, the coach and Silas, too, that we got to hear from. And of course a few giveaways.

And that win over the the Hornets… topped it all off.

"... and Elevate your game."

I won a 2007-2008 Warriors Rookie Pack at the BBQ

It came with a bellinelli signed ball, watson signed picture, and b wright signed hat. Whoo!

Got tons of stuff

Al Attles signed my Championship jacket (I already have Nate Thurmond, Rick Barry on it haha).

And Andris Biedrins signed a glossy photo for me (of him of course) when I joked with him that he parties at Fluid in SF with Marco Belinelli. HAHA – bet a lot of people were mad that I talked out of turn to get the signing. You gotta be aggressive folks!

Didn’t make the game (had to support a friend’s concert in Reno), but glad the BBQ was pretty fun, saw quite a few fans (wore the ALMEDA jersey till it got too windy) and my twin (Franco Finn) as well.

I’ll be at the rest of the games this season folks, so please stop by my Section 208 Row DS Seats 15-16 area to see how LOUD the area can really get. See everybody at the game!
