Your 2010 Starting Warriors
freedarko.com continues their obsession with the convoluted mess that is the Golden State Warriors. If you know anything about freedarko, you know that they tend favor style and uniqueness over all else, which makes this lineup quite tantalizing. But if your a Warriors fan, and you favor winning, you should be a little worried right now.
(Also, I know that Nelson has said his projected lineup is Ellis, Jax, AR, BW, Beans with Maggs off the bench, but freedarko, I think, is being slightly more realistic.)

thats actually not a bad lineup....
bw/turiaf/buki/morrow/cj come off the bench…maybe crawford too, doubtful tho
its VERY unrealistic that randolph will be a 3 by next season…maybe 2 more seasons
You know I spit technique to the freshest freak
Gimme a call you will see results in just a week

buike
Shouldn’t Buike be the starting 3 next year? I can understand if AR is the starting 3 in 2 years. I still think that AR will be a 4 by the beginning of next year until he adds a consistent outside jumper
Ellis to the RIM!
Monta for the win?! YES!

Talking about potential starting lineups for
a Don Nelson team is a lot like talking about what we’re gonna do after we win the Championship this year. It’s fun and wishful thinking, but the fact of the matter is, if Nelly feels we have an advantage with Bukie at the 5, then Bukie will start at the 5. If we have an advantage starting Kurz in an opposing teams uniform and me in his place on the bench, Nellys gonna make it happen.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the enthusiasum but I predict 24 different starting lineups next season, with a 100% healthy roster, whoooo go dubs!

This lineup was being talked about earlier this year
Sounded sexy then, sounds sexy now.
The big problem being is distribution, Monta better learn him some court vision (which he’s doing) and Jack’s is our only 3 point shooter spells trouble to.
There's a party in my mind.
And I wish that I was there.

Bingo
That’s why I posted this. The Warriors have a lot of combinations that are “sexy” or “intriguing” lineups, which is why they will get a lot of press for being an exciting, fun to watch team, but very few of them will actually be good. This is the opposite of the “We Believe” team, which didn’t have nearly as many permutations (it was essentially Baron, three wings, and Biedrins- or just Baron and 4 wings), but those teams (06-07 and 07-08) were still somewhat successful.
It represents the difference from being a basketball fan that is interested in a team, like Freedarko is with the Warriors or, say, I am with the Thunder and Grizzlies (two teams I like to watch, but don’t necessarily care if they wit) and being a fan of a team, like I am with the Warriors. Although this team will be interesting to watch, they aren’t going to win many games which is thoroughly disappointing.
