Warriors franchise value climbing!?

So I just answered my own question from a previous comment, the Warriors were the 18th most valuable team in the NBA as of December per FORBES.

http://www.forbes.com/lists/2008/32/nba08_NBA-Team-Valuations_Value.html

I am willing to bet that despite our super-losing season, the value will remain steady and we will climb the list throughout 2009 due to the economic downturn.

Four NBA teams that made the playoffs this year and had All-Star players all came in below us:

New Orleans, Atlanta, Denver, and Portland.

...and these areas are being hit harder by the economy than the Bay Area.

Here we are writing poems to Cohan to express our hatred for his ability to own a team and he is raking in more money than 63.3% of the other teams.

There is no way Cohan will ever sell this team unless we frame someone for fighting children like dogs and take the most hated athlete in sports title away from Vick.  We need such a tremendous controversey to turn the team's economy around that you cant even imagine the circumstances.

Someone please tell me you have pictures of Cohan banging male hookers with a Nazi uniform on!

let's photoshop pictures of cohan and vick

doing lines off of 12yr old thai boys while watching episodes of sex in the city, and eating steak on good friday..

This is depressing that he’ll never sell. It’s like, your step-dad buying a Porsche that he won’t let you drive. Why does HE have to own it. Or being stranded on a desert island with a bunch of food packages, but Sally Struthers is there. Why must SHE control all the food. Or like your best friend going out with the most popular girl at school and he wont share her with you.. er wait, nevermind.

ok end of my silly little rant

Dude, chill out. We’re all about fun and games. You don’t have to compare me to this:

And I’m glad you can read my handle… congrats on the clever insult.

Here’s a listing of average ticket prices for each team from the above article (Low to high):

CHA 29
NO 29
GSW 38
ATL 38
UTA 41
OKC 42
PHI 43
MIN 44
WAS 44
MEM 45
ORL 45
POR 47
DET 48
MIL 48
DEN 49
SAS 51
HOU 54
IND 55
CLE 56
LAC 57
MIA 59
TOR 60
NJN 61
SAC 62
DAL 64
CHI 64
BOS 65
NYK 71
PHX 74
LAL 107

Average 53

Do people really think they’re getting a raw deal on ticket prices? Or would you rather pay 60-70% extra to watch the Kings or Knicks?

consistant sell outs at low prices

The Warriors organization is a cash cow

Let’s all start loving Cohan for his business sense. Maybe we are looking at this from the wrong perspective (not)
