CJ Watson VS "Dirty" Rondo

So I checked out ESPN for data on Watson and Rondo. Watson is listed as 6-2 at 175 lbs while Rondo is listed as 6-1 at 171 lbs. So essentially, they're the same size, but Rondo is a much more physical player (remember Miller and Hinrich fouls?) and much better defender and rebounder. However, I swear that Watson looks much smaller on TV, but maybe that's just due to the way he plays. So, the question now is if Watson can become a "Rondo"-type player.

I think Rondo is a fair comparison to Monta Ellis

in terms of driving to the basket. No way on outside shooting or free throws though.

or defense

or passing

Monta can get to the rim whenever he wants…Rondo can be limited

umm...

we’re talking about RAJON Rondo here. I don’t know who you’re talking about. Warrior fans love to compare Monta to Tony Parker, Rondo is much more similar to Parker and he plays better D than Parker too. And much, much better D than Monta. I’d definitely swap Monta for Rondo.

outside shooting?

as in 3 pt shooting? They are both pretty awful from outside, but they both know it and rarely fire up 3’s. Monta has a better MID-range game right now, but Rondo’s has actually gotten a lot better. Rondo is the better player right now.

Rondo is a better passer and a better rebounder than Monta, but everyting else i go with Monta.

If you want a success story just take a look at mine.

DEFENSE

you know the half of the game that nobody talks about? Rondo is a far superior on the defensive end.

rondo is a true PG

He can pass. Monta has not shown that yet.

Rondo seems like he’s got a wider wing span than CJ Watson. Maybe that’s why he looks bigger.
