Nelson & Terrance Williams?

Should the Warriors draft Terrance Williams?

Kawakami suggest that Nelson is hot for him.  I initially thought like many of you may that it doesn't make sense.  But, does it?  Our biggest team issues are defense and rebounding.  But does T-Will fit that mold?  Yes, actually he does.

I know the popular vote is for a point guard and it does make sense in a draft loaded with them and also a good insurance policy if the Ellis experiment doesn't work out. Speaking of popularity, Brandon Jennings and to some lesser effect Tyrke Evans are entertaining.  Entertaining in the same way street ball is and therefore gather a lot of hype but do we really need a point guard and more scoring?  If I'm not retarded we put up plenty of points.  I also haven't seen a issue with team assist nor do I think one player i.e. a short fast guy labeled PG should have to bare the responsibility (having said that, I would be interested to see where we rank in the league, anyone?).  I do know we have issues with defense and rebounds.  I just don't realistically see a PG helping there.  Sure maybe Holiday if he's available at 7 but, how many years before Nellie will actually play him?  And if he is able to contribute or you want to talk long term does he help us rebound?

Nelson with all the liquor he drinks might be on to something.  Could T-Will be used as a defender in the mold of Battie, Bowen, Bell?  Do we have a guy like that on our team right now?  Someone to who we can throw out there to lock down a G or SF?  Maybe Jackson to some effect (although I personally feel is focus has changed to other areas this last year and he's abandoned his best attribute).  T-Will also rebounds at a enormous rate for a guy his size.  AR should help us in this department next to Goose playing at the 4 but if we could get some boards out of a guard (props to Morrow for his effort) I think it would go along way with rebounding as a team.

So maybe it does make sense to move on T-Will.  Plus he can create for others and get out and run, he's quick and athletic.  Finally, he would help make others a bit more expendable, Bukie, Mags, Bellinelli, etc.  Could he play next to Ellis, guarding the better offensive player, help him with ball handling/distribution?  Would he be a 123 defensive punch with (Randolph and Jackson)?  MMmmmm, maybe he does make sense.

I know some of you may say, yea sure, but not at the 7th spot.  We could trade down.

Your thoughts please.
