Orlando also has the luxury of having a primarily offensive player, Pietrus, who is for some reason excited at the prospect of trying to guard LeBron. Two years ago, stuck on the bench for a Golden State team that seemed tailor-made for him, Pietrus told me that if he got away from the Warriors and onto a contender he could shoot and defend at a level that would make him a legit contributor on a team of consequence. Here he is making good on that promise. By simply being unafraid to try on James, it keeps Turkoglu, Orlando's most important offensive player, out of foul trouble.

i miss Mickael
he’s really proven to be a great contributor.
Don Nelson: "Hey Johnny shot 3s"
Player: "But coach i'm 7 foot 8"
Don Nelson: "Johnny!!,if you know whats good for you shoot 3s"
I knew the Magic were contenders
The moment they signed Pietrus. The media kept hyping up Boston and Cleveland. Albeit Garnett’s hurt, I knew the Magic were going to be a hard team to take out when they added Pietrus to an already stacked line-up.
Piterus had his chnace when he was hear.
He was soft in the head and a complete headcase. Glad he is gone.

He was injured for a lot of this season
Just like last one. Looks like he finally wants to prove how good he is, which he didn’t do well in his last season with the warriors.
pietrus worth more than what the woe-yrs got for him
which was nothing. equivalent to the ‘redemption value’ of arenas, o’bryant, davis, perovic. of course two of those guys truly are worth little. perovic got a contract ‘cause mullin didn’t want to lose him to a euro team, and they ended up paying him to go to a euro team anyway. but there were avoidable mis-calculations with the three decent reserve-to-very good starter-players; the brass seems unable to treat each contract on a case to case basis, either it’s exuberant maximum reward or the other extreme, doing nothing until it’s too late to resolve. I think that’s by oRwell’s preference and design, because he wants numbers lined up at certain points in his budget calendar or cycle.
